You are wrong, the note 7 will work with either the old or new gear vr...its backwards compatible and includes the adapter to convert from usb c to usb 2.0 with the new note 7....

They are right. If you have ever used a VR you know how it works with the Note 5. If you try to use the adapter the phone would not fit correctly for the lenses to line up.

The new gear VR includes the adapters to make on backwards compatible. The old gear VR is not forward compatible with the note7.

You will have to wait for the phone anyway, you need the WiFi number also.

While waiting for our shipments, how about a question... Does anyone know if the Note 7 will be compatible with the last gen gear vr? We have 2 of them, and both just upgraded to the Note 7. It would be pretty lousy of Samsung to obsolete our 2 VR's that we just got a few months ago because of the USB-C connections! I tried to find this info online but couldn't.

I know there is a new VR coming out and it might be released on the 19th, last one heard.

I would have to doubt it because youd need an adaptor to go from usb type c to micro usb and unless there is one made for the vr they would be too big. Therefore, doubt it.

I think no one's started to move. They issued tracking numbers late friday and over the weekend. By the end of today we should know. lol this is dumb but its ok. I've been refreshing my tracking app like a troll every 3 hours or so lol. Im hoping by tomorrow i should have it.

The 19th is the US release date. Different countries have a different release dates. I'm guessing Verizon complained TMO sent then so early last time.

Mine says shipped. So I'm assuming I'll get it tomorrow sometime.

Up until a couple minutes ago it said ready for ups/ requested change when I asked for ups store delivery. I changed that back to original address about half hr ago.

You mean the "in transit" part?

Ha, I am the last person that should be rushing this thing.

I am still in the HOSPITAL!! ,

I want them to move it to in transit so I can redirect to the hospital room or leave at the UPS store close to me. But, I have all the Note 7 goodies with me. Case, Temp Glass, 200gb SD card, back up 115 gbs off my Note 4, I am ready to roll. Just as I was typing this, the docs told me they are keeping me longer..Dam..now, I really got to redirect to my room.. Well, at 75, you can't have everything...

That's what mine did too. It did have a date of 8/15 delivery before I changed it.
