Yeah but I think they are still valid because some stores I checked before are now showing new stock and the price went from NA to $899
i doubt they would use the same DPCI as their recall page Product Recall Article Page

How is it that Samsung says no later than the 21st for all outlets, and Target has none in. I was there when the mail came into receiving and we only got 2 iPhone 7 otter box cases in. This is frustrating.

AT&T required all packaging and everything that came with the phone. Is there any downside to just returning and rebuying somewhere else at this point? You'd only miss out on the $25 Samsung credit, right?
The two year upgrade price is $50 cheaper at Verizon corporate than it was at Target, so I'd still come out ahead and get the phone sooner--or am I missing anything?
Anybody who did the return did you need all the original packaging and whatnot?
Might want to take a look at the Samsung recall thread here on the forums. They are having a worse time of getting replacement Note 7s.Thanks. Ya although I got the first one about shutting off your phone from AT&T, haven't got this one yet.
I did contact the AT&T Store, and the associate spoke to the Samsung rep who said you had to exchange the device back at the "point of sale", he said this was on samsung's site, I don't recall this information, but either way didn't matter all they had were the Blue Model's in lol, Guess this round Black will be the rare one.
Might contact Samsung directly and see if they can personally handle my exchange instead.
Thanks, good info, but I would agree with the poster that I doubt the recalled DPCI are the same as the new DPCI.
A few of my stores have on hand qtys but no saleable qtys, makes me think they have recalled ones still in their system?
Any of the target employees in here able to find the new DPCIs and share with us?
Went to my local verizon store which has new note 7s in stock. They said they couldn't help me because I bought it at Target. I asked if they could shut this one down and sell me a replacement and then I would return old one to target and they said no. Guy told me "The only way you would be able to walk out of here with a new note 7 would be to buy it at full retail price, which we are not even allowing until we have had time to exchange customer's old ones"
Looks like returning it to target for a refund isn't a great idea either...
All I know is some Targets that didn't show stock before are now and also have a price listed where they didn't before. When I bought my original note at launch it said saleable quantity zero then too.
After being denied and exchange at a corporate Verizon store, I just did a straight up return to the Target I purchased the phone from, went back to Verizon and they added the new phone to my account. No credit pull or anything.
Target didn't have any in stock. So i went to a local sprint corporate store and talked with the manager about the exchange. Super simple. Only needed phone and box to scan barcode. Took 15 minutes with some paperwork and now setting up my new phone. He even offered a change in color. No extra charges or fees. Would have to talk to sprint customer support for the $25 credit.
Great experience![]()
