Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

Alright, so I was able to find a Pixi Plus on eBay for $60 to hold me over until the Tbolt is released, so I can return the iPhone. The only problem is that there might be a day's gap between the end of the 14 days and when the Pixi gets here. So what would my options be?

find somebody with a crappy old verizon phone you can use, if you cant find one go to walmart and buy the cheapest prepaid verizon phone they have probably about $20 and just activate it to your current account instead of setting it up for prepaid

I would just like to see it before about March 14th. I'm heading to Disneyland that week, and would love to use the abundant amount of 4G they will likely have down there.

People have already answered this, but he was referring to a poem he wrote a while back stating that the TB would launch around St. Patrick's Day and the Bionic around Easter - before all the February rumor madness started:

Eh. He wrote that on January 10th, and he has admitted that all the hype has had Verizon working overdrive to get the thing out the door. If it isn't Thursday, it will be shortly thereafter.

That was my next question haha. They have one for $16 bucks, but I didn't know if I could just add it to my account.

Talked to a VZW rep, and she said I should return the iPhone, then go month to month and re-sign when the Bolt comes out.

Feb 24th - Thursday

March 10th - Thursday

Might aswell say this phone is coming out on a Thursday. But dont know which Thursday.....

Ya missed March 17th and the 31st.. Both Thursdays and still in the 1st QTR.

Okay guys, I surrender! I admit!! It's ME!! I am the jinx!

Whatever phone I am waiting for always gets delayed or drops a little too late for comfort.

Last year, I was waiting for Samsung Fascinate! We were the last to get our hands on Samsung Galaxy S and the forum was going insane with Where's Fascinate posts - followed by where's froyo posts.

Now I want to go for HTC Thunderbolt and now it faces the same fate!!

Ok so I have another account but I will use this one so as not to reveal name or other info that could get my spouse in trouble

I was just shown an email on her corp verizon email account since my wife works at verizon corp store.

The email says the thunderbolt launch date changed.

"The date for the Thunderbolt has been pushed into March. No official date at this time"

I am so excited for this phone but looks like it wont show up on the 24th now

and this email was sent in the last 4 hours so its the most up to date info she has been given.....

Similar experience at my local VZW store tonight. I asked if they had heard anything regarding the TB release. The person responded that he had received an email earlier in the day stating they could order the TB on March 1, with it showing up in the store approx. 1 week later, as a best case scenario. Worst case scenario, it's delayed again with no set date.

oh brother... yup, i'll be cancelling my preorder tomorrow.. it's just not worth this game to me just for the LTE. Sticking with my Inc till the next HTC phone on LTE comes out.. and let's hope VZW doesn't fork that launch up too.. *rolls eyes*

Pretty much the same thing here also. I was told not to expect it until mid March at best. No exact date was given.

Why do I always get left out of these emails that go to VZW employees? I've seen at least 4 people post about emails their friends/relatives got and I have yet to receive a single one. I'm calling my HR rep immediately.

if you guys have read my previous posts I wrote that I had few guys in various verizon stores that I asked to call me once they got any new information

a guy from the woodbridge, NJ store called me today saying that they just had a corporate rep in their store that dropped off some promotional material and a dummy unit.. the rep then told them the phone will def. not be available for sale in Feb. and to look for it around the second or third week of March.

i think im gonna give up on this damn phone. at first i wanted it now its being delayed and now i have too much **** in my life to worry about it. sad, i can still afford it just might not be able to get it on release day

hold on a 2nd, i heard that if you change your plan no matter what you will lose your NE2 so then i dont think you will be able to upgrade to the tbolt if you wanted. i would call and ask a rep first before you do any changes PLEASE you dont want to miss getting this phone.
