This page here says release date of 3/21/11, but in the Company Overview it also reads "available early Feb".

I'm thinking Joe is full of crap. Sorry Joe. But I don't think we'll see the Bolt in February. We have yet to receive any alerts or updates via email that we all signed up for on Verizon's website. I'm guessing we'll all start getting those alerts at least a week before launch.

Don't wait for the alerts to come. I am still waiting for mine from last year's VZW debackle with the much delayed Omnia 2 release. Not only was there no updates but I never got a email even after the official release. So I wouldn't count on VZW's commitment to efficient customer communication. They can't even keep their own employees in the loop. I promised myself last year I would never get obsessed with a phone launch again, but here I am AGAIN.

I was just shown an email on her corp verizon email account since my wife works at verizon corp store.

The email says the thunderbolt launch date changed.

"The date for the Thunderbolt has been pushed into March. No official date at this time"

I am so excited for this phone but looks like it wont show up on the 24th now

and this email was sent in the last 4 hours so its the most up to date info she has been given.....

I made a thread about this two days ago (Monday) saying exactly the same thing. Thank you for confirming it for all the people that called shenanigans on my post. The thunderbolt is postponed indefinitely. Whatever issue it is (I was told Skype mobile) doesn't matter. It's postponed. Thanks, again!

I'm no expert, I just love reading all the people complaining about something as trivial as a cell phone. Has anybody seen the news, pop on over to yahoo or CNN or Fox and see whats going on in the world.

From my understanding Verizon was suppose to release a phone by the end of summer, and according to the calendar they did, September 21st. Developing a new "anything" can and usually does takes a few awful turns at the very end and schedules get blow out of the water. I have no clue what's happening or why it's delayed, but if it's a problem then Verizon is going to wait till they have a good product OR they will release something less then perfect on March 31st. The last day of the 1st QTR.

Just my 2 cents.
Off to see who else the Samalians have murdered.

The longer they wait to deliver this phone, the lower the sales will be. I'll be waiting for the bionic if this phone is not released sooner.

Besides, as far as I can tell, Motorola's phones are better than HTC's phones.

It's all personal opinion. I would never buy a Moto phone so I would get the TBolt over the Bionic.

I think the reason that this TB is not release is because of this:

The I-Phone on Verizon network is great. But the release of this phone as is on Verizon is only going to hurt Verizon in the long run. This phone is good but has been released at the wrong time. People don't want to buy old technology when they know that the new one is already available.

Add feature rich 4G Droid phones like the upcoming Thunderbolt and Bionic, and watch the sales of the 3G I-Phone 4 drop like a rock. Verizon's ROI will be negative. It's my opinion.

I think that Verizon shot themselves in both feet by releasing I-Phone 4. They are delaying the release of new 4G phones to try to get more miles out of their 3G stock. By delaying 4G, they force more users to jump on Sprint, At&t and the rest where 4G is already available and where some phone are already on the 2nd 4G generation.
