I had a Verizon corporate store promise to let me know if they receive Thunderbolt stock today for tomorrows release. He just called and said nothing came in so he called his office and was told MAYBE Monday the
28th. He also said they did not sound very sure of the 28th. Sorry, for the bad news.

In the past whether it was for Motorola, Verizon, HTC, etc. when I signed up for alerts they either came way, way after the actual launch or not at all. So honestly alerts are BS anyways. They just want to gauge interest in the product and collect email addresses. Verizon has mine for billing so I didn't care if they got it for alerts or not.
may be they have something tomorrow? I mean they will hopefully tell us the date since they will be out of iphone4 shadow.
I don't get why they can't at least say "Hey, it's NOT coming out tomorrow"
I got a call from the Verizon store today and was told the Thunderbolt would be available the 28th. I hope he's right, so now its just wait and see... again...

I just put this in the existing facebook thread so I didnt start a new one.
I think at this point we're looking at mid March. This would have been a perfect occaision for Verizon to announce the phone. They didnt for a reason.
They shouldnt have to say it's not coming out tomorrow- they never publically announced the 24 as release date for the tbolt. I was not a fly on the wall and have no clue what was said behind the scenes, but If they didnt publically say anything other than "earlier than expected" or "coming soon" I dont think they owe it to us to make a non-announcement on facebook.

Hopefully, that's correct. Otherwise a lot of people have an EXTREMELY good reason to be pissed if they're making the calls for this...

Yeah thats true. especially since i have 30 days to exchange out my Dinc which i bought the 13th. So this phone better come out by the 13th of March.

Just talked to a rep at my local store. I asked him if he had info in the Thunderbolt release. He said he was expecting it "on the 24th" and i said "as in tomorrow" and he then told me to hold on and he went and talked to his manager. Came back to say they delayed it one week and that the new date was next thursday March 3rd.
Take it for what it's worth. Oh, he also said that they are eventually going to have "4G plans" but if you already have a 29.99 data plan you will be grandfathered over w/it even if u buy a 4G phone. again, grain of salt. cheers.
