How many times to we need to see it in how many different threads? Holy crap...
 
Do we need a thread for every single twitter or facebook update made?
just posting in one of the sticky threads would suffice I'd imagine.

Well, it's better than a thread for every time someone chats with a Verizon/BestBuy salesman with the latest rumor; at least these updates are connected to people who actually know what's going on.

(Not to disparage them, but it's pretty clear that the only way they know anything more than we do is whether the phone is physically in their particular store right now)

If everyone reads this there would not be any reason to post anything else until it's released. Such as every conversation they have with BB and VZW and Joe Schmo.
 
I was over in the DroidForums today and I read a post from someone who knows someone that works at VZW and she text him and told him that the phone was delayed, she said her manager told her team that. I strongly believe there is some technical issue going on with the phone that they are trying to resolve. Honestly I that phone is to expensive to put it out just to have to keep taking it back because it's not working properly. This will be my first Android phone and I want it to work. Don't get me wrong..I've been needing to upgrade for months now but I'm fine to wait. And I have no ill feelings towards Phil either. I'm sure as soon as he knows something he'll say something..unlike Verizon.
 
The only positive i see out of this is that there making us pay alot of money for this phone. So theyre gonna make sure they give us our moneys worth.
 
Right. And there's alot of technology in this phone and it's their 1st 4G so they better get it right cause they know we will be on here complaining if not.
 
For what it's worth: I stopped by the Verizon store in western Cleveland tonight, on my way home from work. The guys there said that they'd been on a conference call last night and were told that the Thunderbolt would go on sale Monday, the 28th. BUT,it would only be available initially online. They said it'd probably be *another* week beyond that until they actually had the phones in their store.

Were they telling the truth? Who knows. They may have been honestly repeating what *they* were told. In any event, my frustration keeps growing and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight.
 
I guess this topic name will be changed tm. Im actually really disappointed. I know ppl say "its just a phone" and "they never said this was the date" but honestly we have all been waiting for a long while with 2nd hand news and all the teaser videos and tweets from vzw(Thunderbolt coming sooner then expected/ video that said February) the timing has been way off.

Well, Best Buy DID say "mid-February" in their official statement and they DID start taking pre-orders. And that is what got us all worked up leading only to diappointment. If it had not been for Best Buy, we would not have been so frustrated.

But again, there is nothing we can do about it. Besides waiting!!
