Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

Yeah, I saw this. Certainly reason to be stoked. Personally, I am a little worried by it. If the release was gonna be announced by the 14th or 15th (for a 17th release) they would have just waited to announce the phone on the 14th or 15th. What is the point of putting this up 2 days before the "official announcement". None. The fact that they posted this "pacifier" on the 11th tells me that the actual release won't be until at least the 24th.

I agree with this. It's almost like saying... "Yeah, we saw that guy post the 17th too but that may not be the date, so we'll let you know". Very VZW-esque, which was disappointing.

It's also possible that he HTC post was coincidental and they are just trying to build excitement and keep people paying attention to them. Hard to say.

I think that was probably true a few weeks ago (ie. around Feb 14).... but I think at this point, they would have nixed any advertising.
