Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

I just pre-ordered at Best Buy about an hour ago. The guy told me that as far as he knew, the 14th was still the scheduled date of arrival, but went on to say that it's not looking too good that it'll make it to the shelves by then. He said that they got all the accessories a couple days back and they were supposed to get the phone into the store today (which they didn't, and got no reasoning for it).

We talked a little more and he brought up that they haven't even seen a dummy or test model yet. He seemed very sure about the price being $249.99 for a 2-yr., but again told me not to let that be set in stone as promising as it looked.

He pretty much said all he could say honestly, while also saying what he was required to say as a good salesperson. I'll hop on the bandwagon for the 24th as long as there's no announcement about it this weekend. Which is unlikely to begin with >.>

In that case, should I stick with the 11th? Technically it's still possible. We don't know the original launch from which there was a delay! >

By the way, I've never racked up 100+ posts this fast in any forum. Wow... It's been like a week!! >.<

miami, on droidforums, who correctly told us that the Tbolt would be delayed from the 14th, said the TBolt won't come out till march, at best.
(sorry if this has been posted already but I'm not gonna read through 12 pages lol)

He got one thing right that he probably guessed on and it had the highest odds of true to it to begin with. No need to believe everything now.

Well if the 24th is true, then it would be highly unlikely that the 24th could ALSO be true for the XOOM (24th has recently been the most rumored date for the VZW XOOM launch).

They wouldn't release them both on the same day I would think, so something has to give here ..

I have no problem waiting. Right now, I plan on getting this phone as a late birthday present to myself (my birthday was yesterday ) I just wish the official retail price was released. Some say it's well over 700. I think that would be a bit crazy, considering the Xoom is in that price range and it's a tablet. I'm still thinking this phone will be in the 499 to 599 range. Just my opinion.

I'm with you. My birthday was Monday and I can't wait to cuddle up to this thing. The fact that I live in a 4G area makes it just 10 times as sweet and makes me anxious to get it in my hands. Only dilemma is deciding if I wanna do full price or one year.

Times like this makes me wish I lived in my one horse town where I could line up outside at 4am for an iPhone and still be first. Sadly I will probably need a preorder to get my hands on this toy.

The TB is 649 full retail at vz. But it will be 749 fill retail at bb because we mark our phones up. I wouldn't buy full retail from bb unless you can get employee discount.

Been following this forum for a few days hoping for some answers like everyone else here and getting frustrated like everyone else. Just wanted to pass this information out to everyone.
