Betcha anything Steve Jobs made Verizon launch it exactly 14 days after the iPhone in order to lock in the new iPhone users with the new 14-day return policy (which I'm CERTAIN Jobs also had a hand in implementing).

Buy an iPhone on the 10th, then when the hot new 4G phones drop (curiously) exactly 14 days later you are already locked into your iPhone contract, courtesy of Steve Jobs

NOT TRUE, if you bought the iphone 4 on the 10th you can still return it for a different device on the 24th as it is the last day you can do so. if you keep the iphone till the 25th then your screwed! but if verizon wants to be nice they can still grant you the exchange as one time courtesy, they have done that many times with customers.

You could use their trade-in program but I doubt your going to get much for it.

Good condition you'll get $130 on a GC w/ a memory card $140 GC...sucks especially if you paid retail. You might be able to get more from one of those other places that buy back phones but I doubt it.

talked with telesales and they said that they expect a pre-order a few days before launch, not a week like the iPhone

also, let's not forget that the existing vzw customers who pre-ordered on the 3rd of Feb only have until the 16th as their last day since it is from date of purchase.

It's sad people don't know simple math. February 24th is the 15th day from February 10th...

I think the confusion stims from the fact that informally most people know 14 days from the 10th is the 24th. Since Verizon counts the entire 10th as the first day, essentially you "lose" however many hours since 12am of that day to the fine print.

He is so firmed about the 2/14 and told me face to face not to believe the rumor on the internet.....so Who should I trust?

You should trust VZW. When they announce it it's official.
