Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

Went in to my VZW store today for an unrelated issue. Asked about the TB. I told them i heard it was pushed back from the 17th (last week in same store i was told it would be here on the 17th). The reps said they had not heard anything and were still expecting to have it Thursday the 17th. I told them my sons Birthday was on the 17th and that was going to be his gift. They looked in the computer and said they couldn't find ANYTHING on the TB. The asked who had told me it was pushed back. I just told them it was all over the internet. 2 reps looked again and said the weren't seeing anything in the system.
I told them sarcasticly that i would just get him the iphone.... they both laughed and told me that i should definately NOT do that.

Got the call I've been dreading from BB earlier today.

Mobile manager said the phone has been delayed and he expects it in Feb. as he was assured by the verizon rep that it will launch before the end of Feb.

Still doesn't load for me. Probably technical problems more than anything. Could be propping additional hardware for anticipated load due to their tablet announcement.

changes to HTC's site:

1. The Thunderbolt page is lacking the stuff at the bottom.

2. The HTC Freestyle is added to the product page.

3. There is a new animation on the front page for the HTC Inspire 4G.

That's when HTC is presenting. Still is still at the mercy of VZW but with the original teaser commercial in Spanish it makes sense to MWC confirmation.

Man, I just switched to Verizon on Saturday and am really hoping we hear something tomorrow. Everyday closer to the 25th, last day I can return my Fascinate (which is still pretty slick) and get the Thunderbolt, the more I'm going to panic that I'll get stuck with this thing

Why would HTC not use Tuesday as their announce day for Thunderbolt? Bunch of other crappy being announced tomorrow by other companies.... seems to me them and VZW will wait till the stage is theirs

Well remember, this isn't an announcement for the device itself. Everybody at MWC KNOWS that the TBolt exists. They will just finally be giving a date. In fact I think tomorrow would be a better, if HTC is looking towards the future at this point.

The Thunderbolt is a big part of HTC'S future. To us its old news, but to a lot of general public, they have only heard bits and pieces.

Also, of they are announcing a tablet, what better a companion than a 4G phone that is a WiFi hotspot?

Verizon rep called me today and said there wouldn't be a MIR on this phone and he believes it could be $200 from Verizon for 2 yr. I don't know if these guys truly know either way, but that's good news for both.

I highly doubt HTC's presser will have anything to do with Verizon's announcement of the phone. I'm assuming we'll hear something early this week though.
