Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

I definitely believe in the 17th but I wouldn't mind the 24th.

Yea. I know phil and co. have their sources but ive heard from too many BB and VZ reps and testers that it was the 17th. The guy who came in with the TB to train our mobile department said it was going to be out on the 17th when we all thought it was the 14th. If it doesn't come out the 17th no worries. But im expecting the 17th to be the day

The 17th would be nice, as my NE2 credit kicks in on the 16th. My local BB thinks it is going to be the 17th as well because their pre-order period ends on the 16th.

However, I'm more inclined to believe the 24th release date.

The reason im not as worried is because i may not get it. Im not paying 649 with vz or 749 at BB. If i can't get the TB for 404.25 like i saw in that leaked pic or at least a price like that, i'll be getting the X. Unless it comes out the 24th. Then i may still get it. since the next day is pay day :)

So i was on youtube looking at reviews of different smartphones like i always do(nerd) lol and i came across this one from phonedog.com. At the beginning he says it will be a BEST BUY EXCLUSIVE and says they will have it before verizon. So im not insinuating the TB will be that way but it IS possible.

YouTube - Megan Fox, Motorola Devour, and Noah from PhoneDog

I think everyone is confused by the "exclusive" nonsense. I have a really hard time believing that BB would have the first premier 4G phone on Verizon before VZW stores. Multiple VZ reps have said it won't be out at BB w/o being available at VZW. I don't think anyone knows for sure, but I'd say the safe bet is to assume VZ will have it when BB has it.

BB store reps seem to think it's like the Nexus S (their personal exclusive) which doesn't really make sense comparing it like that. It's pretty obvious the Nexus S is a phone "without a home" that works with T-Mo. The T-Bolt is clearly a Verizon phone and being advertised by Verizon.

well i didnt think this needed a new post. but i just saw the english version of the t bolt commercial on tv, of course i was in a room with out a dvr. but i havent seen anyone say they saw it.

the girl counts 1 mississipi. 2 missispi. between each lightning strike

my friends got their *phones on Monday, so I would think that a preorder would get there earlier

Yea, they pre-ordered on Thursday and it was a thing for VZW customers only. This is a different story and unless they plan to do pre-orders for VZW customers ONLY then I doubt you get it earlier than everyone else.

The only issue I have with pre-order is I have to be home when the phone is delivered. Most likely I'll be at work.

I hate getting that note on the door that says I missed it!

May be old news but went into a VZ store last night and asked if the 24th was a def launch date. Rep, who seemed like a legit guy, said that's the plan but could be pushed back due to software issues. I just can't believe this phone has been hanging around in limbo for so long.

Leave a note on the door with your signature for the delivery person. They should leave it, if you sign for it. I live in "the sticks" so this works for me.

I have had that note before. I tried to sign a note and put it on the door but they still wanted a signature in person. If it is possible have it delivered to your place of work. This is what I do now and it works out great. Hardest part is keeping the phone in the box until work is over!
