What is the general consensus about whether you should clear your cache after installing an update? Is it recommended?

Looks like we can't get rid of the notification that shows what wifi network we are connected to... I hate that.

I just finished the upgrade at work. Phone feels snappier and seems like it's using less memory upon reboot. When I rebooted, I was below 2gb when usually I'm over. Time will tell though.

I also did a wipe cache partition and cleared cache after the update.

I always do a factory reset after any firmware update and always happy I did.

I always do a factory reset after any firmware update and always happy I did.

I feel if you're jumping from 5.0.1 then a factory reset wouldn't be really needed unless you end up with some major headaches. If you're jumping from Kit Kat then I would highly recommend a FDR. I had a few issues when jumping into lollipop and an FDR solved most issues for me.

Can't believe how snappier and faster everything seems! Seems like a new phone! I'm mad we were left hanging for so long on what was obviously a half baked 5.0 update. This thing kills again.

Wow, huge improvement! I also changed the animation speed to 0.5x in Developer Options and this phone feels super quick.
