Where's Froyo for the Fascinate?

It's about time they atleast acknowledge Froyo in the U.S. It's too bad the carriers (Verizon Especially) aren't doing the same.

They are just saying something that we want to hear. How many times have they promised us froyo and nothing. Color me cynical.

ok, so now I feel as tho I've improperly blamed vzw for not having this released yet...

What I don't get is a Samsung phone with froyo is coming to Verizon. Are they going to have a nexus s type phone running froyo? I'm guessing that mystery Samsung phone is going to be very similar to the fascinate but maybe with a keyboard or something.

After everything I've been through with verizon I'd never feel bad for falsely accusing them of anything. I hate them but what can I say, they have the best network for me.

Finally at least an acknowledgment that it's being worked on. I'm pretty sure the lack of communication from VZW or Samsung is what has so many people wound up. I can be a lot more patient (as I'm sure most would) if they at least keep us informed of the status on the update.

Agreed!

I don't understand we people are blaming Verizon? They sell the phone. Samsung is the "maker" so go over to Samsungs website and log in and start complaining to them.
Verizon is a distributer. Software and upgrades come from Samsung. Pretty simple. Go to the sourse!!!

VZW has to test/approve the update however. I'm sure Froyo runs great on a stock Galaxy S phone with no carrier firmware/software loaded on it. Even Gingerbread is running on the Nexus S. For all we know, Samsung has frozen their code weeks ago, and is waiting for Verizon to do their part; which is to bloat up the device with apps we'll never use.

I'm so tired of waiting.

me too. i would swap it for another phone that gets regular support but i like the hard ware, the screen looks the best out of all the phones i looked at, and most of all it was a birthday gift from my wife. so i am keeping it for a good 2 years because i dont have to tell my amazing wife that this phone gets like zero support. oh well its still a pretty great phone.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love this phone, its amazing, its faster than my Droid X ever was with 2.2 so I'm not that woried about it, but I think I just want Cyanogenmod more than anything.

i keep hearing about this mod. this is my first android, so no experiance with other phones. what is so special about Cyanogenmod? and yes i do love my phone. it is the best phone i have had.

I just did a search for "Samsungtweets" over on twitter... I would say around 95% of people tweeting at them are complaining about the lack of upgrade support. So assuming someone who works for Samsung actually manages that account, I think they understand that people are pissed.. haha
