Same here. Talked to my local corporate store and same thing. They are hoping for it to be resolved before the weekend because of... The iPhone sales rush. 😕

I went back to my corporate store to see if their plans had changed. They still said they were not doing loaners. But the guy there, who I think is a manager, told me not to worry about it. He says he is still using his Note 7 the way he always had. I'm still using mine too, with some restrictions, but I think his comments were irresponsible. If Samsung and the government are recommending discontinued use, he should not be saying otherwise. They have more data and a better understanding than he does.

I just got home from my local corporate store. The were only able to do the Galaxy J3 as a loner phone...no S7 or S7 edge. Yeah, I don't think so. I'm hanging on to the time bomb until the replacements are available.

I got a call from samsung and missed the call and i called them back. It was just a friendly call because i called about the promo a week or so ago. The lady asked me if i had the note 7 and i said yes. And she said please power it down. I said thank you but i will when they come in stock due to my sprint store not giving me anything really as a loner phone. She said to me that MANY stores have them in stock. And that Samsung has shipped them to stores but stores were told to never release 1 phone till they get the memo it is okay to do so.

So i think once they get the Ok it will be fast that we get them. She said please be careful and please power it down and return it and i said again thank you for your concern and goodbye.

so to day i went in my corporate store to switch to the htc 10 well we had an issue they returned my phone and my money no problem however they could not sell me the phone. Their system popped up an error and there was no way to bypass it so i walked out with my note 7 but also they still returned it and gave me the money there was nothing they could do. The only thing the store manager asked was to please come back to that store i told him of course i would. It is just a bummer that i was there for 2 hours but it wasnt his fault so now i get to wait to see when the v20 is released iphone 7 or another note 7 even maybe the 64 gig iphone 6s lol.. i am so up in the air i love my phone however it kinda like been there done that but i do love this phone. i havent had an iphone since the 4s so a long time im just interested in change.

They have a post up on Android Authority. They are starting the transition for exchange in Canada now. I do not know how valid this is. So soon hopefully in the states.

Went to the Sprint Store this morning to attempt to exchange it. The store refused to complete the exchange since I bought my phone at Best Buy, even though I was a Sprint customer. They let me leave with the phone still working. All they asked was if I was having any problems with it, and I told them that it sometimes got hot.

Well thats a joke.

On a side note I decided to take insurance with Samsung $129 and a $99 deductible .
Only downside is does not cover theaft or loss.
Did not want to pay asurion $200 to get a used phone back.

I have to say that I am getting a bit frustrated. I don't want to keep using this thing. I don't want to get stuck with a phone I don't want if the replacements are here in a week, especially considering the 3rd party accessories I've purchased. Sprint won't offer loaners. I don't have a backup phone to switch to. I think I will just keep it off as much as I can. I probably can get by with having it on 3-4 hours per day.

Update on my 'upgrade' to s7 edge from Note 7 as a loaner. I was past 14 days.
So, I got all the money back on the Note 7. ($35 I was supposed to pay as monthly installment was cancelled, and $81 I paid for taxes and activation on day 1 was returned back to my credit card as refund). I did pay around $76 for s7 edge during 'upgrade' ($30 as 'upgrade' fee + taxes on s7 edge). Now, I hope, they will again reverse everything for s7 edge when I go back and ask to exchange it for the new non-exploding Note 7.

I just got off the phone with a 'Lifestyle Wireless' (non-corp) store. The clerk said they had a new email this morning stating that Sprint had replacements in their possession, but are in the process of testing them. This store is telling callers that it will be one to two weeks before replacements are available. That said, the clerk also said they could be here tomorrow, they just don't know.

I realize this is not a great deal of new information, but it is something.

Frankly, I would be shocked if all carriers, and large retailers did NOT have new stock. Everyone is just waiting for CPSC to finish their process, and approve the new devices. Samsung wants this nightmare to end ASAP.

It's nothing new. I posted a few days ago that when i got a call from Samsung the lady even told me that stores have them in stock but are under orders to not let 1 of them out of the cage until the cpsc gives the ok to release them. If you remember way back last week or before sprint stores had said they would have them Friday and then the halt came from the cpsc and the phones still got delivered to places but with a memo of do not touch till further notice.

I know that no Sprint or any store wants to lose there job and let 1 of them out of there site till given the ok but i would be willing to bet that many stores around the country have them in stock in a cage that says do not toch till further notice.
