Did donavan's battery setting reset a few hours ago -- we'll see tomorrow how that helps. Right now I'm TRYING to drain the battery, so that fact that I'm down to 30% after 3.5hrs doesn't mean much.![]()
Anyone willing to try a new ROM? [28 OCT][MOD][ROM] Mik'o'Void (Kezvoid) Beta 1 [Android 2.3.7, .32 Kernel] - xda-developers or this one Ice cream [27 OCT][THEMED ROM] Ice CyanCream Sandwich Love v3.1 - xda-developers
for the ics u had to wipe and flash cm7 again and then go to CWM and then just flash the zip, then flash my kernel, yea i know its alot of steps but it worked for me.the next update will have a modified statusbar which i wanna see!
sorry but what is a2dp?
I had THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I fixed it though.
I have an cheap Emerson bluetooth headset that would pair with my device, but not connect. After it was paired, I held the talk/hangup button on the bluetooth and the phone asked me if I wanted to connect with the bluetooth device. I clicked yes, and VOILA!. It works.
Here's a screenshot of me making a call. Remember the blue background means that ts connected to my bluetooth.
Just so everyone knows....
There's a possibility to add our phone as a new section to XDA Developers.

Bluetooth seems to work more-or-less like it did on stock. No problems whatsoever.
One thing CM7 does that stock never did is automatically connect (sometimes) to my always-on Belkin receiver when I enable Bluetooth. On stock, I always had to go into BT settings and manually connect
Battery log reset: done.
I don't think I'm a fan of the aggressive BT implementation in CM7. Having BT constantly looking for new devices & trying to connect to them doesn't appear to be conducive to good battery life.
On stock Froyo, I just left BT on all the time, and battery was never a concern. With my minimal BT use, Bluetooth was barely on the radar in the battery usage reports.
Last night, I left my Thrive unplugged while I slept, and battery drained from 100% to ~25% overnight. Bluetooth ate up a pretty big chunk of that. Looks like I need to tell Tasker to turn BT on only when I'm attached to a power source.

Im using cyanogen MMatt v1.1 it was the only one I didnt get errors with on the first kernel you released, so I just stuck with it. I have my CPU performance setup for "on demand" with the min as low as it goes and the max at 600. After the battery stat reset I can get around 20+hrs from my phone using in normally with wifi off and on intermittently. However, as soon as Bluetooth kicks in there is a considerable power drain from it. Like I said I left my phone on all night and after 15hrs the battery was dead and after checking Bluetooth had used 32% of the power. So yes you can make the phone run slower and tweak the visuals and such to keep the power consumption down but I think the question here is why does bluetooth use almost a third of the battery even when its in standby.
Since Wifi & BT are on the same chip, I wonder if Wifi sleep had anything to do with crummy battery performance with BT enabled. I guess re-enabling it will be tomorrow's experiment.
