Surely our phones can't the only ones who use these pieces of hardware (yeah I know the P500) in talking another manufacturer. Granted I wouldnt know who or even what I was looking for but there is always that hope that it can be pieced together bit by bit. Thanks for all the good work Joban. Today is truly a sad day If Cyanogen manages to get a port will you be working on a kernel?

the ZTE blade has the same stats as the optimus and ours. i found a better site to see stats for our phone and the only thing missin is the compass sensor. there is a dev that ported the blade to optimus. so the blade might be something to keep in mind.
i really wish LG would get off there keesters and give us a friggin update.

Though I would love it I don't see LG bothering with our phones they pretty much consider our phones throw away phones. They promised us gingerbread months ago and nothing.

Will that work for the p506 as well? My bluetooth is really botched, I may need to buy a headset w/ a mic for now, haha. I wish I can extract the working drivers from my stock rom and use it in the current rom.

Yes it will work for both p505/506 and i fixed the GSM and camera! The lockscreen deday is still there but majoraly reduce and fixed the glitchy lockscreen because sometimes i hold the lock button and it just flashes on me and nothing happens so that seems to be fixed the com.android.error seems to be gone too, but we need more testing though.

ok guys what u want? CM7 build from source or ported from p500? if you want a fresh from source u guys need to be very very patient because i only created kernels and not soo experienced with building roms from source.

I noticed that lockscreen flash, my bluetooth sometimes connects and sometimes not, when it does, the mic won't connect, even if connected, the option is grayed out in the dialer. Also wifi, but sometimes it's ok, and sometimes the network options are grayed and won't turn on, but nothing a reboot won't cure. But thanks for all the hard work, it's mostly working and feels a tad faster.

not sure about the bluetooth but the wifi does that cuz its in standby mode as well and takes awhile to turn back on, but i think there is a setting for that

I'd go with the easyest and less problematic. And if I may make a suggestion, I don't see most of us needing or useing "dev tools, and spare parts". Spare parts seems redundant. But don't worry about this if it makes it harder.

I'm all about the quicker route, but is it the best route? Being that the P500 ROMs have a bunch of junk we don't need and some seriously quirky problems (which you seem to be working out) we either need to gut the P500 to meet our needs or build it from the ground up. If you build it from the ground up there is going to be a lot of reinventing the wheel, which is a lot of extra work and testing, but we would be sure everything is custom for our phones and maybe even get Cyanogen to officially support them. I guess it really just depends on how much stuff needs altered in either ROM and how much you feel like doing. If you think we can get a good, fast and stable ROM from the P500 then go for it. You seem to know a little more than the rest of us when it comes to ROM and Kernels so really its your call. And besides if you go one route and people don't like it they can just learn how to do it themselves.

-Phone gets com.android.phone. (That error is because of a CM7 bug of 2g/3g. Fixes: Fractory reset or follow here:

The follow here link doesn't seem to be working. Is there another way to fix the com.android.phone bug besides a factory reset? If not I will probably have to use matt's rom because I like to reboot quite often.

yea u can use the sqlite method! get the app and then go to com.settings.providers and then look for preffered network n just delete that entry
