OTA_Supersonic_3.29.651.5-3.26.651.6 [official update]

people, i think the yellow exlimation point and the triangle is not because you are rooted but because the update is not in the correct folder..its not being recognized correctly.

I did the Ota update this morning, but my software number is showing as 3.29.651.5! Shouldn't it be .6?

The Froyo update was 3.26.651.6 and this one is 3.29.651.5. Check the second set of digits you'll see it went from .26 to .29 so thats why it ends now in .5. Hope that helps!:)

i'm rooted and i did it fine. still have my root and all apps ect.

Did you get unrooted after applying update.zip? Is it just a matter of running unrevoked3 again? Does it matter that I didn't use unrevoked to root? (I did it back when it was more complicated and unrevoked only gave temporary root permissions) I'm currently running the "official" rooted Froyo ROM that was posted a day or so after the official update came out so that may not matter anyway

Is there any reason I shouldn't do this if I'm planning on rooting with unrevoked in this weekend?

yes lost my root, will need to unrevoke3 again when I get home. but can i just say how smooth the scrolling is now!

I had the same problem. I connected to WiFi and signed into the Google Talk app with no problem. Once signed in, I disconnected from WiFi and went back to 3G. I signed out of the Google Talk app and and signed back into the Google Talk app with no problem.

rooted w/ unrevoked 3...

downloaded zip via android central. Changed name of zip to Update.zip
then had to move zip from SD/download/Update.zip to SD/Update.zip for the recovery to work....

update...

damn this thing runs smooth now. avg 53 FPS (used FPS2D app)

After update, were you able to root again? Did you have to reapply unrevoked 3?

I don't see any difference. Are the changes really that noticeable?

Im on Baked 1.7 and notice it was consistently smoother. With this ota I noticed once in a while it stutters when scrolling. For example in contacts. Its noticeable too when moving around in Dungeon Hunter. And in asphalt 5 when you spin the car it isn't as smooth. I went back th Baked since I really didn't need multiple gmail accounts and had no issue with gps rebooting.

HELP updated using the update from this thread's .zip file. Now i'm stuck at picture of a phone and RED TRIANGLE with an EXPLAMATION through it....Can not get pass boot loader screen.

DID I BRICK???

After I rebooted from the ota out had a wallpaper thats not even in my gallery I then switched to my live wallpaper. I rebooted my evo but again I that other wallpaper replace my live one. Please help. I'm not rooted.

Tried but didn't work - eventually restarted the phone and it started working. I am happy with this update apart from the fact that it takes ages from getting back from landscape to portrait.. !! (it was quick earlier)

I couldn't get the update either so I tried 4g and the update appeared...weird

i'm guessing they didn't want to clog the 3g network with that. it would suck if you didn't have regular access to wifi and the 4g trick didn't work.

Yeah, I wasn't seeing the update either so I switched on 4G but still nothing until I went to an area that had decent 4G coverage. When I checked for the update it found it and offered two download options: wifi or 4G.

Anywho, I now have the update installed.

It would be nice to see if the 911 issue has been fully resolved in those areas it was a problem.
