[ROM] [05.25.11] Das BAMF 1.7

Anyone experiencing huge battery drain while using 1.6.3? Last night I upgraded from 1.6.2/4.4.7 and for some reason, my TB went from a full charge down to 75% in a matter of 1.5 hours! No new apps were installed since the install and restore. I'm perplexed.

My battery drained pretty quick right after the update, but I bump charged, cleared battery stats, calibrated battery, messed around with setcpu settings, let the battery run down, recharged & it's been working well since.

There's a couple different ways, the easiest is going through the das bamf toolkit, under troubleshoot/battery statistics. Charge your phone all the way up before you clear the statistics, plug the phone back in to charge it back up which will only take a short time, then you should be good.

I DLd a lot of the add-ons from xda for this rom. I liked the aosp contacts and dialer. The files flash w/o errors but I don't get any results from the flash. Just the same HTC dialer and contacts. Any clue what I may be doing wrong?

GPS Issues!!!

Are there any fixes for the GPS? I see that BAMF has done something to the GPS function in the overview in the OP, but I still have problems with it not locking, and taking forever to locate.
I have the 16.00.223r radio. Is this the problem?

Who has a fix for the lousy GPS.

1.6.3 has been fine battery wise. After installing I charged my phone and didn't use for about 4 hours and only saw a drop to 95%.

Total newb question: I'm thinking of installing a version of lean kernel on my bamf 1.6.3 install. Will this work? If so, anyone with experience in mixing kernels with various roms? I'm looking for a combo with good battery life primarily.

You can install whatever kernel you want. Just make sure you nandroid just incase. All kernels out there are good. Try adrenalyne's newest. I flashed today and its excellent

Thanks for the tip! BTW, which version number is the latest from Adrynalyne?

If you have the call recording feature, however, this is part of Adryn's kernel and will cease to work once you move to another kernel. Otherwise, good to go I think.

Before trying out a version of leankernel, I decided to stick with Remix 1.6.3 with 4.4.7nr for a day to let things "settle" as mentioned in an earlier post on this thread. I also did a battery calibration and let it charge overnight.

To my surprise, the battery levels were awesome today! I started out with a full charge at 7am and by 3pm (8 hrs later), it had only dropped down to 87%.

I have the cpu set at 1.024/245 (smartass), brightness 30%, 3G only (I have 4G service, but don't really need it.).

From the results of today, I'm sticking with the current setup and would like to thank Adrynalyne for a great rom and the creation of even greater ones in the future! Keep up the great work and enjoy the donation!

I just installed Das BAMF remix 1.6.3 and cannot figure out how to get the market to work. Ive reverted back to previous ROM and reflashed remix again and again and cant get it to work. Only thing that seems to not be working is the market

Is there any sort of "manual" or faq for Das BAMF? I saw what was included in the OP, but since this is my first time using a custom ROM, I have a bunch of questions that I'm sure is old school for a lot of the users. Pretty much things that would let me further customize the ROM (nothing to do with flashing, that was done successfully yesterday and I am running it now! Awesome work!) Thanks!
