A buddy of mine just bought a Thunderbolt and I've been helping him get it rooted and running custom ROMs. Root went fine (I used the auto-root method) and installed ClockWork Recovery using ROM Manager. He liked the look of BAMF remix, so I showed him how to install it via ROM Manager. Wiped data and cache.
The ROM installed fine--HTC says "quietly rooted" under instead of "quietly brilliant." It says BAMF instead of 4G on the Thunderbolt screen. The HTC launcher thing is gone from the homescreen and all that jazz. BUT...all of the bloatware is still there. The Verizon, games, and blockbuster apps are still there. What could I have done wrong? Should I maybe try to download the ROM from here rather than through ROM Manager and then apply it directly in ClockWork? UGH, I'm losing my phone exploiting reputation in front of my friend LOL (I've been following Adrynalyne from Omnia, Droid, Fascinate, and now Thunderbolt, so I should know what I'm doing by now). I'm just stumped as to what I could be doing wrong.
Thanks
