[ROM] [05.25.11] Das BAMF 1.7

You only want to flash the radio file only, not the whole RUU.
Flashing the whole RUU will put you back to factory, non-root.

(Don't ask me how I know...I had this friend who uh...yeah, you get it..lol).

My advice is to download all 4 combos of the radio file only and keep them on your sdcard.

Some people have problems with the new radio, some love it.

Oh okay that makes sense I thought rru was short for radio or something. So do you know where the 4 radios have been posted at?

And I can flash the radio on top of this Rom with out losing anything?

The radio included with Verizon's latest update is on the OP of this thread (near the bottom).

Please note, this release has a new radio to complement it.
Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!
Put it on sdcard, reboot to hboot and flash.

You can also check here for all versions of the radios available.

Yes, you can flash a radio (in HBOOT) without losing anything...but I'd make a backup regardless.

So, just to be clear here, the file you linked to... is that the radio for the official VZN update released on the 12th? If it is I think I'm going to give it a try as I have had major issues with hand-off between 3G and 4G. I've never installed a radio only. What are the basic instructions?

Thanks.

This is the same as the VZW update but I don't believe that they took it from Verizon I think it is a leak from before. I am going to upload it because the leak is exactly the same as the official update.

So if I'm currently running Bamf 1.6.3 (and I am), isn't that the same radio that's in the link we're talking about? All this radio talk is confusing me...

Thanks.

bamf 1.6.3 is based on the latest ruu - but a rom does not contain a radio. If you have not flashed a radio in hboot, you still have the stock radio. There are numerous radio threads you can find by searching the forums, which will link you to the updated radio and instructions if you choose to flash one.

So no ROM has a radio built in? Hell, you DO learn something new every day. I thought all ROMs had a radio as part of the installed file. Interesting...

My apologies for not re-checking this entire thread to see if this has been answered (I couldn't find it quickly), but I don't have all the options displayed in the screen shot for for the "power options" (those seen when long pressing the power button). I only see the standard shut down, restart and airplane mode. Is there something that has be set in order to see the other options displayed? Anyone else notice this?

I rooted a couple weeks ago & noticed the same thing, hasn't been an issue but makes me curious too

I noticed this too. I fixed it by going into CWR, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and installing the ROM again.

For some reason, all the features didn't stick on the first install.

Hmm...I've actually already done that (for a different reason)...oh well, everything else working great, so I think I'll just leave well enough alone. Thanks, not a "must have" feature for me.

We are really trying hard to port the Sense 3.0 stuff, but are meeting a lot of opposition. What works fine on inital install, breaks and goes to crap on a wipe. This does not fit our model of acceptable stability. So once again, weather is not in. We are also having a lot of trouble with our previous cosmetic tweaks due to the radical departure GB and Sense 2.1 takes from Froyo. I appreciate everyone's patience and support, and I will do my damndest to have a new alpha every day as progress is made. Its just very slow going right now. I spent half the day working on the camera (and failing), and the second half the day working on the weather, gps reticle removal, and transparent drop down( with failure). We are still working at it. We will label this as alpha until all features are in. Then we will add spit and polish in the beta phase. Once final, we will change the version to 2.0 for the GB series.

Please understand, this is an alpha release from HTC. We find more broken things every day.

Good luck, and have fun!

The lack of camera is a deal-breaker for me, at least right now. I have a little baby, and taking a ton of photos of him when he does cute things, (like breathing.) Thanks for your hard work on this, and I can't wait until a more stable build comes out!

I tried the original alpha 1 last night...it is off to a GREAT start.
I"m spoiled by how smooth and stable the BAMF team's ROMs are...and I'm sure their final version of GB will be no different.

Great work...I'm sure you'll have more beers and coffee coming your way soon!

Guys, I'm experiencing an issue where my widgets (ie, circle battery, google voice) are disappearing from my home screen and I'm just getting a "problem loading widget" message where it's supposed to be. I go in to re-add the widget and they're not even there any more?!! Anyone else know what's going on?
