For app data restores, the best bet is to use something like MyBackup Root or Titanium and restore ONLY the data (not the .apks). For the apps themselves, you want to use something like a backup list on appbrain to reinstall all the apps. If you try to restore the apks you can introduce errors.

I used the "POwered off Charge" method found in this thread to calibrate my battery and it nearly doubled the battery life I got on this ROM
