Samsung Trade in Program, how quickly does the process work thread.

Went to drop mine off at the little "Printing/Shipping" Store that's been in a Plaza about a 1/2 mile from my house for 10 years yesterday. Got out of the truck with it, went to open the door and it was locked. Looked in through the window - lights were out and it was completely EMPTY! No shelves, no desks, no anything... not even a sign saying "What's up!" Hmmm... so Patti and I just drove to the FedEx Depot that I used to ship and receive my parts from when I was still working for Siemens, about 15 miles away... got to get a receipt AND see some old friends I haven't seen since I retired (Socially Distanced, of course)! It'll be in Ft. Worth on Monday, 8/31... I also used the Note 9 Original Box (removed accessories), then put that in the shipping box that the Note 20 came in, with the mini-air balloon packaging AND some paper cushion in the bottom, as well.

I just got an email confirming my trade-in was successful.

For reference, I shipped it on 8/21. They received it 8/24. Got a received confirmation same night. Then to confirmation email today, 8/26.

I used the note 10+ packaging to ship it along with the box the note 20+ came in and used the inflated air bags they used.

Hmm, mine was delivered the 25th and still no confirmation they even received it besides the tracking info I have saying it was delivered.

They should just say something in the Shop Samsung app, but you know... Samsung.
Yeah, all it shows is the tracking in the app with the expected delivery date and all the tracking stops up until the day before it was actually delivered.

The FedEx is still moving my return package between the locations within the Dallas - Fort Worth area. That is just "amazing" how the FedEx shipping works. I see reports from people in North East with packages delivered within just few days to DFW area. I dropped my return at FedEx last Friday. They state it will be delivered tomorrow (6 days). It takes probably 45 minutes for FedEx track to drive from where I am to the Fort Worth processing facility.

Yeah I looked earlier also. My problem is I setup a new account under my work email to use someones referral code and my work email is really hard on spam and I may never get the return email.

Can you post here to let us know if your trade went through ok without the S-Pen, or if they charged you for it?

You are not required to return the S-Pen. I've done trades with Sammy several times and all I send back is the phone. No accessories, charger, etc. Heck, I still have the pen for the Note 7.

Along with a box of charging blocks, cable, headphones, etc.

All I know is the policy in writing says you do not need to return accessories. Depending on who you talk too at Samsung support some representatives say it is and say its not an accessory. It also depends on who is inspecting the trade in. You may have gotten lucky or maybe it is the policy. Until I see it in writing, for me its not worth saving a few bucks to risk losing out on the trade in deal and go through the hassle.

I just got the rejection email for my Pixel 3. I had a scratch that they say is a ding. BULL****!! Its a scratch. I asked them to return the phone and I requested a return on the N20. I'm so pissed. I may get the S20+ now since they will give $300 for a cracked screen and the payment will be about the same as the N20. I switched from an iPhone and was really digging this phone. Too bad.

I got an email last night saying that my trade in was successful, thank feck I was a bit worried as I'd never treated in with samsung before, all in all it took about 10 days to do.

* PATIENCE PLEASE *

Let's not forget folks that Ft. Worth, TX, where the Samsung Facility that our phones are going to, is only about 300 miles inland from where Hurricane Laura just made landfall this morning. I'm not sure how much damage, if any they'll see, but she's a huge storm, so I would think that Samsung's Employees would be home taking care of their houses and families rather than worrying about our trade-ins. Let's think about that, be patient and send some prayers (or whatever) down that way for the folks, and especially our Members, dealing with that storm right now!!! I know I am...

I just searched FedEx and mine is in Widener, AR, between Memphis and Little Rock. I then went to the WX Map - the storm is headed right at Little Rock!!! Damned, my luck, here I am worried about the Samsung Facility in Ft. Worth... hope 'Katrina' and 'sweetiepie' and all those on the mid-south coast are O.K.!

No there is no restocking fee.

You will have 15 calendar days after receiving the products to initiate a return and another 15 days to return the item - totaling 30 calendar days to mail back the products.
You have to initiate the return from your end, on your order look up page you will find the return tab once you click on the return tab you will receive the return shipping label to your registered email id.

You have to paste the label on the box and drop the box at the authorized FedEx outlet.
Once the order is delivered to us you will be refunded within 3-5 business days.

30 days to return and I'm sure within a month youll know if your phone is returned at what you wanted

The box I received my Phone in was 14" long by 8" wide because of the accessories. Would it be better to find a smaller box to return trade-in or should I just use the original shipping box & bubble wrap it to the max? I still have all the air bags.

Thanks for your help.

I sent in that same box. I had 4 cases and Note 20 Ultra in one box. I packaged my S10+ in its original black box and used the same bubble wrap to keep it from bouncing in the larger box.
