Stay away from this phone

Great that the HTC trolls are defending it in a thread entitled "Stay away from this phone".

Ok. You're right. Every one who has ever reviewed this phone is wrong. 4MP is awesome!!

So they are all trolls because they disagree with you? YOU go to an HTC One sub forum talking how bad you dislike it, and how everyone's opinions that oppose you are wrong? What planet are you on?

By law you must go through the manufacturer and they must present a reasonable repair which at this time 10 days is reasonable because that's how long everyone takes. If they refuse to repair the device and it does indeed apply to a warranty claim than the merchant who sold the item must take over the warranty.
This is rare, usually only when the mfg goes bankrupt.

I advice you guys to read your warranty terms and conditions.

I am just glad I got AT&T took 1 day to get a replacement. And I can walk into their repair center near me and exchange it if I have an issue with warranty.

Why are you telling me this? I now this. I do read my contracts and warranties before I sign a damn thing. But like I said before....The warranty is on HTC...not Sprint.

"I advice you guys to read your warranty terms and conditions." <----was this in response to this?----> "By that statement, it's implying that since HTC offers to fix or replace a phone for one year under warranty so Sprint should do the same." If it was, it was in response to anothers quote of "Sprint is charging me for something HTC will do for free" and giving my take on what it meant. To me it means that since HTC will fix it for free but since it's on Sprint, they should fix it for free also. Which is wrong.

Now If I'm mistaking your statement I apologize

Well, I have the black one. Bought it the day it was released. No gaps. No blown speakers. Camera works perfectly fine for my tastes.

In fact!!!!! I also bought the S4 and gave the ONE to my daughter. I had the S4 for a week and decided hands down that the ONE was so much better so I made my daughter trade back with me. She's like OMG thanks DAD!!! Everyone's got the S4..I lOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU!!!

She now begs me to trade back. She can't stand the freakin' thing. Point being is that everyone has different tastes. Everyone has different opinions. Everyone has an @hole. And sometimes, not often, but sometimes people have a rectal-cranium inversion and actually see the crap they spew and repent. But I don't think that's the case here.....

Yeah it's a no brainer to get the insurance when purchasing a smart phone these days. That's not a sprint or htc problem. No offense but the title sounds like something from an Apple or Samsung fan boy lol. I can say I've gotten multiple replacement phones going back to my Palm pre days with Sprint.... Just gotta get the insurance.

Nothing wrong with this camera! In fact sometimes it takes better pictures than my digital camera. I held the shutter button with this and took continuous shots. I love this feature!!

AGREED I've had no issues with my One so far as far as tech goes. I have the black as well and I do use a holster or did use a holster. I stopped because its showing signs of wear on the black across the top of the phone. Phones naked now and holding up much better

I have yet to see a single One come in for repair and we've sold several.

Just sayin'.

So, all should stay away because you picked up a phone with a defective speaker. Nevermind the millions of us who have been pumping the speakers to their limits with no problems whatsoever! I probably should not have responded like all the otheres that viewed your post, but to extrapolate that every person who buys this phone after you will have blown speakers is very ....how should i say this... STUPID! LOL!:p

You put that quite well. I agree. I have a Nexus 4. People have had issues with their particular Nexus 4. I never had any. People can't judge a line of phones off the few devices with problems. ALL phone models will have some devices with issues. What do they expect from mass production?

Many of the tech blogs have been using the One as their daily driver. Do you NOT see it in photos advertising other apps and things in the news section of this site? Have you NOT browsed through the many MANY beautiful photos in the forum?

Returning my (2nd) Verizon One. Again, dead pixels and I can see the digitizer (Diagonal lines). I'm also concerned with the amount of 'common issues' the One experiences.

I love my HTC One but the blue noisy tint problem in low noise is irritating me,we dont know if this is hardware or software related problem, the polls showed more than 60% of the One are affected...

OK so lets talk.

Dead pixels and a bad digitizer deserve a new phone. Period. No questions asked. But this happens to all phones, all manufacturers, on all carriers. There's not one that is impervious to bad internals at some point, and that includes build quality.

Common issues....hmmmmm. Lets see. Where are you basing your 'common issues' from? Here? Another site? Google? You're forgetting that most people don't belong to a tech blog, let alone post on one or heck even read one. We are the elite "few" and not the "masses" that post about a defect or problem. For giggles and nowhere accurate, lets say there are 100 active ONE owners here that post. 20 post of a common problem but 80 have no problems. That's only 1/5th (20%) that have that particular problem. Now let's say another 10 have a different 'common' problem. Now we are approaching a third (30%) that have a problem. Now remember this is only out of 100 people. It seems like a lot that 30 out of 100 have a problem, but remember we are the "few". But how many people overall around the world have bought the ONE? a few million? 5 million? 10? Not sure. So if my numbers are even close then if 1 million bought the One and 30% have a 'common' problem then that would be 300,000 people having problems. This would be a massive recall situation. But this isn't the case. So the actual numbers of 'common' problems are much...MUCH...lower than you think.

I'd be willing to bet hundreds of thousands, if not all the Ones have a visible digitizer (diagonal lines). But I'd bet only a small fraction of people notice it, a small fraction of those know what it is, and a smaller fraction yet actually are bothered by it...and most of those fractions of fractions of fractions are yes, on the forums....but a whole lot more are affected, they just don't notice...or don't care.

3 of 3 have dead pixels. 4 of 4 I can see diagonal lines (shows up on light colors easier). Threads on here about mic failure, my friends mic went out last week.

In fact, just about every HTC phone I've used in the last few years has had dead pixels. While I understand this is a LCD manufacturer issue, QC could control that and HTC could choose a different supplier.

For a long long time HTC has been my favorite, because they use good looking LCD's, the EVO LTE/One X looks fine, but I can see the digitizer (diagonal lines) on the HTC One, as well as the DNA before it.

Ok. You're right. The HTC ONEs camera is fooking FANTASTIC! It's the best of all the cameras.

4MP is really all you need.

Maybe it was just the one I used that was faulty.

4MP? I remember back in '03, I think, having a 4MP camera. It wasn't bad. You could tell what the photos were of.
