T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Sorry had to share, my first case ordered. Now, my Note 8 will be black. This is a Ringke case.

Me too.... after 3 screwups....I was up until 3 am getting the order right and confirmed...

Yea. I tried at midnight eastern time-big delays. Tried again at 530 am. Finalized preorder about 7:15 a.m. got the email and text confirmation of the order with expected ship date range 9.13-15

I started the pre-order process at 6:05 am this morning, and by the time I got to work at 8:15 the process still hadn't been done. The rep took almost an hour to respond. So when I got to work I just called customer care and was in and out in about 15 minutes. It never usually takes that long to do anything through customer care. But all is well, the pre order is complete, just had to pay $7 for shipping.

Pre-ordered through JOD this morning via twitter dm with no issues. The only thing I was dissapointed with were the shipping charges. I never had to pay for shipping when I pre-ordered the last 5 or so devices from them. Oh well, no big deal. Went with the cheapest option even if that means I won't get it on launch day. Not the end of the world. I still wouldn't be surprised if they all get overnighted though. Usually all pre-orders are shipped so that they are delivered on launch day.

I agree 100%. I can wait an extra day. I am not getting it to show it off to everyone.
That extra money could be used to buy a case.

Regarding the shipping charges, when I ordered my son's G6 a month or so ago, they said they've always charged for shipping. I told them this is the first time I've ever been charged. They probably get so much turnover that the reps you talk to are all newer to the company and its policies.

I believe the shipping is done in bulk and they won't spend the extra time to get certain phones delivered before others. Maybe getting some people to pay the overnight fees just offsets some of their shipping charges that they pay UPS.

I'm guessing they decided to charge for shipping to offset the lack of down payments on JOD.

I don't mind $24 for shipping, since originally I was figuring I'd have a large down payment due. None due so very happy, and ordered my first case

Same here. And I get to pick up the phone at 9am at will call, an hour before any store opens.

I ordered a $5 Caseology case yesterday from Amazon. That's all I care to spend since I get insurance with $50 deductible.

I plan to choose pickup from UPS location as well, and my terminal is 3 miles away

I got a text at around 11pm telling me pre-orders were now open. I ordered and didn't have to wait til midnight. Now the games begin ( waiting, constantly checking online, passing info on AC etc.).

me too. I even got the confirmation lease 10 page paperwork. But never seen partially pre order

Mine says partial pre-order, but the rep made quite a few errors. For one, I had it shipped to my work address, and he has the actual address as my name on the order. Then when he took my card # for the shipping, the rep put my name out of order. Instead of first middle last Jr, he put it as first last middle jr, so hopefully it goes through.

I called my local Best Buy mobile one of the shops inside our local mall and they confirm they do have one there I will definitely be checking that out after work and will send several pictures I will be glad to share with you guys woohoo

Yes it does. They had to cancel the first pre-order because of the mistakes the first person made but it took me 3 tries to get it right so not sure if that had anything to do with it.
