Any VZW employees here? I've been reading in other forums that their just now geting emails that it's confirmed for the 24th. And it's showing up in their cellebrite system.

It transfers contacts and other information between phones. Useless for Android, and it doesn't really mean anything since the Merge was in there too.

It's their system that handles activates/upgrades. It shows up in their system when a phone's about to launch.

its unlikely we will get much heads up. this is gonna be the day before announcemnt. its gonna be last min fixing on the 4g network if that is the issue. lets hope wed we here something.

I really don't think there are issues with the network. I think Verizon is really concerned with the stress that that added load may put on it, mainly because their network is their strongest point. No one's built an LTE network and deployed handsets on it yet (at least not on this scale), so I think Verizon is just really concerned that it goes well.

I have a feeling this may be a day before thing as well. May wind up like the DInc's where you could preorder the day before and it arrives the day of.

But what are they worried about? If it is a reasonable worry then there must be something wrong. Or, at least, they forsee a possible future problem, which would indicate a problem.

I called spoke about 20 verizon stores last week and 10 more today, they all said the 2/24/11 was the day. If does not arrive on the 24th as they elated to me then my faith in them as professional company will be somewhat questionable. Best Buy reps stated whole heart-edly that 2/14/11 which was complete BS. However with BB was so sure of them selves i sold a very good Droid X now I have a crappy Iphone 4 and the last day on the 14 day is 2/28/11 before i am locked. Before i have keep this POS iphone i will cancel the contract on the 28th and transfer to sprint until they decide to quit f** us over on this release date. Sure it is more money throwed away because the delay but who cares if you are not happy. The whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth with both Verizon & Best Buy

not exactly hidden, as all you need to do is search thunderbolt on the site and it takes you right there.

but yeah, we've known about this for awhile. People have been signed up for email updates since CES and still nothing coming our way.

we are all riding the same boat an uneducated consumer is riding. we cant follow best buy or verizon employees. neither blog sites. we just gotta sit back. this forum has been congested with to many threads now with the same he said she said, i was told this.

i like everyone wants this phone really bad. im hoping for the 24th, but we will find out here soon enough
