Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

How do we know the TB is coming from HTC? Verizons wharehouse is in Texas. wouldn't take long for the shipment to get around.

HTC posted on Twitter that they (HTC) were going to be shipping the TB this week.

Coming from a supply type of business and marketing. i will say that while I wisht he phone was here. Verizon has always stated end of Q1. never said anything else. Did they give BB info for a 14th? who knows for sure, most likely they did, however again all sepculation on us tech geeks runnign around internet tryign to get any/all info we can. as soon as someone said one thing it spreads and most of the time the info is wrong.

I beleive the ad stating "Coming Soon" is better than Feb. The people up in Verizon Corp HQ don't sit there and think of ways to screw with the minds of the consumers.

All this 14th, 17, 24, 28 is all rumors promoted by us on these and many other forums, and the tech blogs.

Anyways, think 24th (IMO). and all is good for a great phone...

Why would they have them and where would they be? And why would HTC lie? HTC used the opportunity to move the Thunderbolt hype machine along, and they did.

Hopefully, VZW will get off it's ass and make the announcement. What could they be waiting for?

I think we are all over thinking the facts we have went from rumoured dates to where are they shipping from now. i am highly enthusiastic about this phone but we have no cold hard facts. the only thing we have to go off of is the new coming soon thunderbolt page and the htc ceo saying the phones will ship out this week.

It's not vaporware, the Verizon rep for our corporation said he used the device yesterday in a meeting and that the current schedule for release is the 24th.

Can't say how I know, but I was just given 'firm' dates for VZW upcoming launches. I know that given all the dates flying around, people are skeptical...come the 21st, though, the truth of all things shall be known.

Our company Verizon rep was in the office today and said the 24th, but I took the 21st off (we don't get President's Day off), so I would be more than happy if it comes the 21st. Although I may not get a whole lot of work done for the rest of the week.
