Way more expensive to go that route. Don't expect to get too much for that iPhone for long. Pretty soon the 4G version will be out this summer.
There won't be an LTE iPhone until 2012. I could sell mine for over $500 if I wanted.

OK, but that would still be more expensive than paying the restocking fee now. Unless, you find a good price on a lightly used Thunderbolt. There won't be an LTE iPhone until 2012. I could sell mine for over $500 if I wanted.
Given all of the speculation with today's Best Buy circular and the correction notices, I wonder if @PhilNickinson has heard anything new/different.
I really, really, REALLY want my new phone this week (like everybody else!).
No idea how reliable this site is, but the article is dated Monday, February 21st ...
From HTC Thunderbolt Delay Not Verizon iPhone Fault, Pushed To March? : But it doesn't unfortunately end there. The source goes on to point out that because Verizon is pushing the HTC Thunderbolt as the first LTE 4G capable smartphone ever, and LTE is the biggest thing in Big Red's books for 2011, we can expect the HTC Thunderbolt 4G to only launch around the ?first or second week of March.?.
I'm behind on the release date speculations. What date in March are we hoping for now?
The way I read it, I'm pretty sure it's the LTE network problem. Not the phone's. His tweet also stated that the NETWORK won't handle the stress, that's why the phone would reset in the LTE area's. However, if it's network related (LTE), they should deactivate that feature on the phone, not delaying the phone. From my understanding, the 3G and 1X still work fine. For a lot of us, thats all we really need until Verizon gets the LTE up and running like its ment to. Verizon has the power to deactivate the 4G on the phone itself until the network is up to par. Wish they would hurry up and announce it already!!
just my .02

With the recent rumors, I'm now betting on a March release. Before the Ides of march is my guess.
I still want to believe it's the 24th. And I plan to go to my local Best Buy to get mine right when they open regardless of rumors.
