field day huh? or the fact that there 4G networks are 3.5G? or the fact that all at&t's android 4G phones have 200 kb/s upload speed unless rooted. on verizon 3g i'm getting 2mb/s down and 1mb/s up.......maybe verizon should call there current 3g network 4g. considering it has the same download speed and better upload...

Prob the same thing I would say. Obviously it's coming out "within a month". They just don't want to spit out a date like this Thrs and have hords of people at the front door.
All these 'went to VZ store and BBY store, and they told me' comments are all complete lie's.

Why? The CS rep had zero power to do anything- she is passing down the information she heard, correct or not.
You've already posted that you dont plan on getting a tbolt in other threads. I guess I have a bit more patience and dont mind waiting for a good phone on a network that is superior to AT&T.

They have power to pass the word up to someone who can pass the word up. And I do plan on getting a Thunderbolt. Unless I don't hear anything by the time I can't use this Fascinate anymore. If it gets to that point, then I don't have an option to wait more than a coulpe days.
Just got off the phone with a Verizon rep, I asked him about the TBs release date and he said it's still not showing up in the computer. He also said lots of people are calling in today about the release date.
I did however get him to confirm that there will be no extra charge for 4G service... it is the same price as 3G...which is great. Just need the phone now.

Then I apologize, I thought i read you were going over to the dark side (AT&T).
I honestly think that verizon is finishing all the testing on the phone to come out with a perfect phone right off the bat. Would much rather have that then a phone that doesnt work properly. I also have the fascinate and it works just fine for what I need it to. Wonder which one will happen first- the tbolt will be released or the fascinate will get froyo!

I'm burned out on release dates. At this point Verizon screwed themselves, they should have just kept their comments as Q1 and not tweeted squat.
From my view if Verizon Wireless was a guy at a hip night club good looking and all, he (VZW) would still go home every night ALONE, he's got NO GAME.
I am done with the rumor date threads and instead will read about other related news.

HTC Thunderbolt ready?
I dont know about any of you but Im not really that upset about the TB not having a date yet. I mean dont get me wrong i want this phone as much as the next guy but I would rather have a solid phone that will last me two years then one that will stop working after a month. Blackmanx tweeted yesterday that the phone was being worked on and that it was for a good reason. I have just seen the AC post about the XOOM not having flash when it launches and that makes me feel like they are rushing that. look at all the stuff they are leaving out, flash, 4g those seem pretty critical to me, especially flash. But i did join in on the verizon facebook spam. Anyone have any thoughts?

I am with you, Droid Hungry. I rather be patient and get a solid phone than get a phone that is missing important features. I could not believe the info on the Xoom, particularly the lack of access tot he SD card! Epic fail is an understatement! So, since there has been no official date for the TBolt, I will wait patiently. I just hope I am able to get it as soon as they have it available! I'd hate to get on a backorder list for weeks!
