Interesting, VZW is now paying for ads on keywords. Before when you Googled "HTC Thunderbolt" the only sponsored ad was the one provided by HTC and now VZW has one right below.

You would think that by now, someone in VZW management or in the "know" at VZW would at least leak out (anonymously) what the reason for the yet another delay in the launch is. Something. Hey, tell us the LTE network is still being worked on, tell us there was a problem with the OS that an OTA patch could not fix, ANYTHING would be nice. The rep that was supposed to call me back yesterday to complete my TB order over the phone (and get one month free) called me back today stating that unfortunately, the TB has been pushed back with no ETA and that I would have to sit tight and wait for an announcement. I asked if the people who signed up to get the TB announcement/notifications via their LTE page would still get something sent to them via email- She stated most likely not. So, what the hell is the point of blasting the LTE service coming soon page and prompt users to enter their email addys if no one is going to tell us anything. So I guess its first come first served even for current VZW customers.

So I was in the Verizon store today returning my iPhone and switching over to month to month on a Palm Pixi (loving the WebOS, even on an underpowered device like the Pixi), and when I told them my plans they sorta just got quiet. Not really a sign or anything I just thought it was interesting.

Oh, and they accidentally put the Thunderbolt dummy on the floor, so I saw one of their managers bring it to the desk while they were taking care of me. Looks good in person!

I find that to be very odd, every time I am in there they are always talking to you and keeping up a conversation. But to get quiet and not say a word. To me that almost seems like the end may be near and they didnt want to slip up and drop a date.

Space shuttle Discovery's flight was delayed since October 2010 and she finally launched yesterday. I had no idea I would be waiting for the ThunderBolt longer than Discovery.

Yeah Verizon did that to me. like 4 days before the iphone came out they called me and asked if I wanted to upgrade to a Storm 2 or something else, forget the other one. Told them I already had a Storm 2 so he hung up. then the day before it launched they called back asking the same thing.

My only question/worry is whether they are going to come out with the new tiered data plans with the launch of the TB, especially since this sale is also advertising the $29.99 unlimited data plan.

i haven't heard anything different thus far from my store, The 28th is still the day. Accessories galore for it as well. I truly think its, because of skype and they don't wan to release a phone thats not fully functional. I mean, Who cares about video chat, i think its dumb and i also think facetime is dumb.

Its the reason I am willing to drop 300 bucks on two phones so I can chat with my kids on 4G speed....to each his own.
