Just wanted to throw it out there in case anyone with a unbranded Nexus 6 on AT&T can't get the update.I found if you wipe the device with the SIM out and go through the set up just to hook up to wifi the update comes through afterward just pop your SIM back in and your good to go. After the initial update I checked for another update and there was a patch so make sure you do that before putting the SIM back in.
I see T-Mobile is set to release Marshmallow any day now...as usual, us AT&T people are left out in the cold. I've never seen a carrier so oblivious to treating their customers well. Not all of us are tech savvy or have access to a computer to flash or sideload. Anybody thinking about jumping ship after this fiasco and going to a different carrier?

I am most definitely leaving AT&T in about 4 or 5 months. I am looking forward to moving to Project Fi.
I don't feel the need to switch carriers, but if I get another nexus phone, I definitely won't bring it to AT&T to let them give me a new SIM and register the phone with the IMEI and all that.
I feel like the delay getting the 6.0 OTA was my own doing.
