Help, I'm trying to flash Gingerbread to my Thrive, but every time I try to reach the CWM recovery screen my phone just resets and deletes everything. How do I get the CWM recovery screen to show? I have it rooted and the ROM manager screen shows that I have flash CWM to it.

Well guys i just bought a samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket for $760. Just couldn't live with that delay at all. I gave my phoenix to my girl and put it back to stock. Thanks for everyone's help!

Ok I have been using the ROM that Joban posted last for a few days now and aside from the lack of slider keyboard during the initial setup the things works like a champ. You still have to use a live wallpaper but with that turned on it literally takes about 1/2 a second from when you press a button till the phone comes on ( I'm not crazy about the wallpaper it comes with anyways and the stock ringtone is gawd-awful ). All in all its a fast ROM that actually works I haven't seen any real issues if anyone else has let us know.

I'm using a rooted LG thrive and can't seem to get to the Cwm recovery screen. All it does is format my phone. Can you post a tutorial for lg thrive user's?

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed

I have successfully rooting and flashed CM7 onto my thrive very easily, but I try to do it on a phoenix, here is what happens:
1) I root it using gingerbreak
2) i download the rom manager
3) I flash the cm7 recovery (lge optimus one) and i try to reboot into recovery, and BAM, factory reset:(

weird never heard something like that?

I know i'm very late, but you said you have never heard of it before.. Well I have ran into that issue too! When the phone.android.com thing (or whatever it is) pops up, sometimes when I'm on my way to the sqlite editor, my buttons flash and my phone reboots :-\

haha try to go on CM 7.2 ([DEC 21][ROM]CosmIcEXperia v3.5 --> LunarIcEXperia |coming soon in this thread| - xda-developers) and try to void rebooting your phone, better than facing the ugly problem.

Does anuone else has issues:
1. send MMS works ONLY is all messages were delited; No receive ever. process com.android.mms crashes
2 Any attempt to change CM CPU perfomance havernor settings from perfomance causes screen to shift and eventualy crahes the phone.

Thank you for reading this post.

Regarding 2.
Temporarily set the CPU governor to interactivex. This usually reverts the screen for me.
I think the offset screen is tied to the cpu changing its speed. It never occurs if the governor is set to Performance (always max speed when phone is on). If you need the extra battery life from lowering it, Conservative and Ondemand are somewhat stable.

Also, don't clock your CPU too high. The least bit above 768MHz causes my Thrive to crash immediately. At 748-768MHz it crashes after a while. (I wonder if the temperature gets too hot eventually.) Currently I have it set to 729MHz and it has only crashed once after an hour of video playback.

Using CyanogenMatt and too busy to try out other ROMs for improvements.

Well my CPU was 652MHz, so it isn't too high. As far as other governors settings ANY change on a fly is between bad and worse. I did try both Conservative and Ondemand with the same result. Even native 600MHz crashes with any changeable modes.
