Personally no idea, unless we see an update, on the flip side there is a pretty much totally stock minus deodexed rom for the thrive that works for the phoenix as well, that would work, me i made sure to have a backup of the stock rooted firmware on my pc, from CWM.
I have a backup from cwm from before i flashed the rom for the first time as well, but one day i was curious about restoring to original stock rom, so i tried restoring from my update but it said "MD5 Mismatch!" or something like that.

Hey, if we do find another rom we wanna try and flash, does it have to be a lg optimus one rom?

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed

Ok. Nice find. There is a lot to discuss about this rom.
Yes this is a p500 rom, but don't be fooled or excited about it saying PHOENIX In the title, as I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with our phones. Its just the name the dev gave his product.
What I believe this to be is this devs own creation with sources from cm and aosp. He has his own web page for his roms. He has a 2.3.7 with the same name. He does specify what build or what the original name was.
This new rom looks like it is useing a different kernal, so I don't think we will be able to use it till we get an update of sorts. With that said explaining this rom is a little above me. I wouldn't hold my breath, but I think joban is goiing to be the one that will be able to shed any light on this.
There is a link to the devs web page at the xda thread that oathkeeper1212 posted, if anyone else would like to take a look. maybe another set of eyes will catch something i missed, or most likely didnt understand.

im sure its a definite yes on it being an optimus one rom, as its the only thing that has close enough source code and hardware to our phones.

has anyone actually tried the phoenix rom for our phones? If not I think I will give it a go. From what I can tell it should work because its based on 2.3.4. Any words of caution?

no it will not work! because once u flash my kernel the phone will not boot! its because the rom is for .35 kernel n ours is .32 so it will not work!

Thanks for the heads up there joban I missed the kernel version that would have sucked to go through the hassle of doing it just to have to step back to where I came from.

Ok cool, yeah i was reading to find anything as to the kernal, and based on what i read, as you said, it probably will not support our kernal. but i will keep an eye out on this thread and ill post any updates about it.

Ok thanks for the heads up, I found a ics rom that I thought was for the optimus one but as I read, it said it was for the lg optimus (GT540). So I was curious to try and flash it, which is when I came and asked here. I tried flashing it anyway but it just aborted the installation so oh well haha.

Alright so it seems he has finally came up with a working boot but on the bad side, if I remember, the kernal being used is 2.6.35 so oh well :P

So is ICS using 2.6.35 as its standard kernel right now if not what is it using? With that said let me be the first to formally beg joban to make us a good .35 or whatever we need. OH PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE
