Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed

Scratch that, it started doing the same thing with the screen on both incoming calls and the keypad. I really hope joban can find some way to fix this, he's already done such a great job getting cyanogen running on our phones.

Edit - I've narrowed it down and can reproduce the problem successfully. Anyone having this issue try and plug your phone into usb so its charging and then call yourself. It works perfectly fine. Unplug your phone and call yourself again, and the problem should reappear.(blank screen)

so this is a problem that only occurs with overclocking?

As for the new 7.2 rom initially it seems really fast to me. Will have to test more before making a final decision on what to use though.

No the screen delay/blanking is an issue across the board and has nothing to do with overclocking I ran my phone for weeks at normal speed and it still had those issues. Sometimes worse than others depending on the ROM but so far none are immune from it.

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed

There has to be a way to fix it, stock rom doesn't have this problem. I hope joban might be able to find a way to fix it?

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed

From the looks of what we're experiencing and the P500 guys, its a ported Cyanogen issue.

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed

What we really need is a ROM that has been cooked specifically for our phones. I think that might be what Joban was working on. Though no word yet, which is either a good thing or a bad thing for us.

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed

CrackerTeg, is this also happening with the p500? because someone in my family has one and i was going to flash cyanogenmod7.1 6.5.8 on it to see if the same issue is present, just to rule out the kernel. I have no way other than that to test on a p500.

Please add me to the list when you get this straightened out. I'm so sick of AT&T's crap. I have hacked 2.2.2 to a point it runs nice, but still would like 2.3 or greater. I suppose asking for a 4.0 port is out of the question.

Keep up the good work. I hear AT&T has the 2.3.x but has not released it yet. Maybe they are waiting on LG to port 4.x.x over?

ok so i must be missing something here... i have lg phoenix and it is rooted. i am trying to get cyanogenmod but i cant seem to get it to boot into clockworkmod. plz help i have rooted another phone(sidekick 4g) and didnt have any of the problems im having now. whenever i try to flash clockwork then boot into recovery i get the little box and android icon. wat am i doing wrong? is there a walkthrough that i can use?

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed

I had the same problem with a buddies phone. I ended up have to use fastboot and erasing and flashing the cwm recovery manually. Once i did that it was easy to just flash whatever rom he wanted.

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed

Yes there is a tut on CWM. If you are still at root stock get CWM from market flash it AND DONT USE AN OTHER FUCTION IN CWM. The app should tell you if it was succesful. If it was turn off phone. At the same time hold Home-vol down(poss v up,down for me)-power. Hold untill CWM shows up. For me it shows the first lg logo, then a second lg logo then imidiatly into Cwm. Look at tut to make sure im not missen something.
Be sure to thank those that help.

well it looks like you found the tut on fastboot issue. what i meant by "thanks" is there is a button, lower right of each post. its a lot quicker than typen it.
