[ROM] [05.25.11] Das BAMF 1.7

If I'm going to switch from 1.6 to 1.7, do I need a full wipe or just cache and davlik?

No need for a full wipe, just clear cache and davlik....I just did it and I am running fine no issues.

Did you also flash a new radio or stay with the stock? I have the stock now and wondering if its worth it to switch

If you currently are running the original stock radio, you don't need to upgrade your radio for use with this rom.

However, upgrading your radio may make your signal better and improve battery life/etc, but on the other hand some phones don't agree with the new radio, which results in random reboots. If you feel like testing it out, you can hit the obligatory radio thread in the forums for some reading and links to the assorted thunderbolt radios.

Actually i've been using 163nte for like 2 weeks but i never updated my information .

I downloaded 1.7 but haven't flashed it yet, sort of thinking about holding off until the remix is available.

and I haven't made a nandroid in over a week bc this thing is so stable (i probably still should have tho).

Did you upgrade yet>? youve been running 163 remix right?

select bootloader and press power, wait for installation prompt and then follow on screen directions
you do not flash radios in recovery

I see no bootloader option I have fastboot, recovery, fac reset, simlock, hboot usb, sys info, image crc. Thanks once again for helping Zero!

Right, I powered into hboot and at the top of the list is fastboot etc. What do I select. Zero mentioned bootloader but I dont see that option. ok i guess a post was deleted before this.

Nandroid is a full ROM backup of your current configuration. This can be done either in ROM Manager (back up current ROM), or by booting into Clockwork recovery. Basically, you're creating an image of your phone in it's current state, so if you need to revert back quickly, you can just flash the backed up ROM.

Titanium is just for creating backups of your apps and/or data, so that they can be stored when installing new ROMs.

your screen should look like this (sorry it's incredibly blurry)

since you're running bamf, you can power on your phone, hold the power button, select restart, and reboot to bootloader. then you can go down with the volume keys to select bootloader and press power.

gotcha, so if its a image of current state of ur device then it also keeps your app data as well i'd assume, correct?

That's right. When you restore a nandroid backup, it puts your phone back to the same condition as of the time you created the backup. It's particularly important to run a nandroid backup before flashing a new ROM because it allows you to revert back easily.
