If I'm going to switch from 1.6 to 1.7, do I need a full wipe or just cache and davlik?
No need for a full wipe, just clear cache and davlik....I just did it and I am running fine no issues.

Did you also flash a new radio or stay with the stock? I have the stock now and wondering if its worth it to switch
So what are you still runnin 1.6.2 or have you tried 1.7??? Im making a nandroid right now, gotta leave for class. If you currently are running the original stock radio, you don't need to upgrade your radio for use with this rom.
However, upgrading your radio may make your signal better and improve battery life/etc, but on the other hand some phones don't agree with the new radio, which results in random reboots. If you feel like testing it out, you can hit the obligatory radio thread in the forums for some reading and links to the assorted thunderbolt radios.

Ok I know it has been gone over but questions and answeres are choppy in regards to radio flashing. I have the right radio and renamed it, now in hboot. Someone said it should recognize and do its thing im on the page but am I supposed to go to recovery? Please help then yell at me. Thanks
i keep seeing people mention nandroid, now i have titanium backup pro is there any reason i should also have nandroid?
Right, I powered into hboot and at the top of the list is fastboot etc. What do I select. Zero mentioned bootloader but I dont see that option. ok i guess a post was deleted before this.
Nandroid is a full ROM backup of your current configuration. This can be done either in ROM Manager (back up current ROM), or by booting into Clockwork recovery. Basically, you're creating an image of your phone in it's current state, so if you need to revert back quickly, you can just flash the backed up ROM.
Titanium is just for creating backups of your apps and/or data, so that they can be stored when installing new ROMs.
gotcha, so if its a image of current state of ur device then it also keeps your app data as well i'd assume, correct?
Thanks Zero, wasnt aware fastboot got to bootloader. And thanks again for the BAMF tip.
Second Rule of ROM flashing... ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID first![]()
