[ROM][ACS]SyndicateROM Frozen 1.2 (Updated 6/20)

Sorry, that should say Google Services Framework

Boot into CWM and wipe everything 3x and flash again. I know its a pain in the butt, but ever since the introduction of the CIQ removal flashing ROMs/themes just isn't as forgiving as it was before hand at least from my experiences...

Thanks, again.

After some more research I think I found the cause: turning on WiFi tether with 4G already enabled is apparently known to crash the phone, followed by the aforementioned FCs on Services Framework, Swype, and maybe some others.

Re-flashing now. First I did a "manufacturer's reset" as outlined here:
Fix GPS on Froyo (EPIC 4G) | PaulSpoerry.com
because my GPS was still losing lock even after the SRF flash. That seems to have also taken me back to RFS so CWM is converting again.

I'm hoping I'll have no further issues assuming I can remember not to launch Tether with 4G turned on. I will file a bug report on that, too, if it has not been filed already.

I downloaded this, and loving it with the speed. However, I am having the
battery drain too.

Spare Parts shows phone running fine, no TWS, no excessive anything showing
on Battery Use, but the drain is 5-6% an hour with light use.

I have recalibrated battery before I installed and twice since I did, completely
wiping battery stats. No help.

I have not installed SetCpu, so kernel is running on its own, nothing cranked up.

Is there anything else I can load, check, or do? Everything else on the system looks normal. At this rate, I will have to switch back.:(

As a matter of fact, I cannot even get SetCpu to load, have tried the 2 newest zips and they abort in CWM, won't install to do
any governing of cpu or read what speed I am running. I see others on the market, but could be junk or drain even more battery.

SetCPU is not flashable with CWM.

Go to settings>applications> check unkown sources
then place the setCPU file on your sdcard
using your phone open adao file manage, find setcpu and click on it and select install.

Thank you, got it, I had never used that program. I'm running at 1, and that is good to know. I don't want to oc until I get a handle on battery, that would only make things worse.

Trying to flash the EC05 modem in ODIN but it keeps failing. I think Im doing it right. I put the phone in download mode and then open odin. I see a com device in yellow I open the modem.tar file in PHONE and try to flash and then all it says is something about looking for .pit then trying to flash the modem and then sayd FAIL....only thing checked is the reboot.....and now all I get is this little cell icon with connecting to a pc icon with a yellow triangle in between the two on the screen of the epic whenevr I try to reboot...lol....help.

Put the modem.tar in PDA then hit start

Tried that. It still FAIL for some reason. Im thinking of just loading up the backup and trying from scratch. It says get pit for mapping then it Fails.
EDIT
Damnit! Its the weirdest thing. I can boot into CWM. I chose to restore the system to the way it was before the conversion to ext4. It restored successfully. Im still getting that graphic with the mobile phone and pc connected to eachother with a orange exclemation triangle everytime I try to boot the phone...great :(

Pull your battery out and leave it out. Then hook up with your cable and go into download mode. Then load up Odin and put the modem.tar in PDA and run it again.

Just want to report some AMAZING battery life.

I am running Syndicate 1.1 stock with no themes or addons. I have not downloaded setcpu and messed with my clock speed at all. I have the stock battery as well.

Currently my stats are:

43.5 hours since last unplugged from charger.

20% battery left.

Display on for 1h 32m 4s

WiFi on for 1d 7h 25m 18s

Phone Idle for 1d 18h 5m 40s

Voice Calls for 7m 29s

When I'm not on WiFi I'm using 3g only. I did turn on 4g for a speed test yesterday. I've used my phone like I normally would minus streaming pandora because I simply haven't had the opportunity. I'm sure if I used Pandora as much as normal my battery would already be dead by now. I've done basic web browsing, watched 30 minutes of video. Played robo defense for about an hour. I keep my brightness at the lowest setting as I've found that is fine for everyday use.

Granted I'm not using my phone like everybody else does and if I used it like a true power use I'm sure I would not get anywhere near these results. However I'm sure there are those out there who use their phone about the same as me and quite frankly this battery life is simply outstanding. Prior to flashing this rom I was lucky to get home in the late afternoon (4:30ish) without my phone dying.

I want to personally thank EVERYONE who was involved in making this rom possible and everyone who helped me flash this beastly creation.

Glad to hear that you like it :)

Latest screenshot showing bat stats:

I'm just trying to get to 48 hours battery life. I don't think I'm going to have any issues. :)

Edit:

Just broke 48 hours. I wonder what the longest anybody has ever gotten on a stock battery?

Okay im so confused about the version i have and how to get this new rom installed. I have EB13 its rooted and has cmw 3.0.0.6 or whatever the orange text one is(i flashed to this a while ago with rags tutorial).
I want to attempt to install this syndicate rom idk if my files are RFS or EXT(does it even matter)? How can I leave eb13 and get CE05(the OTA update never came in)...?

All you need to do is flash the EC05 modem with Odin or by using the flashable in CWM that is now available and then wipe 3x and flash the Syndicate ROM.

[Modem] DI18/EB13 to EC05 (Flashable now for CWM)
