[ROM][ACS]SyndicateROM Frozen 1.2 (Updated 6/20)

So whats this I hear about SRF being put on hold for a bit?
I haven't heard anything about this but I do know last I heard k0nane was working without his Epic 4g still so that might be the delay. Putting the the GB leak out with his fellow ACS team members doing the testing for him is one thing but when it comes down to his Syndicate ROM he might be waiting to be able to run it on his own device before releasing it.

Of course this is just a wild guess going off what I read over the last few days...

Over at XDA, someone mentioned that and tbh, Idk if the person is part of ACS or not. I know K0nane was talking about 1.1.1 and 1.2 and then I read this:

Any srf related releases are delayed. At the moment.

The XDA Forum is over 1000 pages long, and is a bit daunting to shuffle through.

If you find yourself with a lot of freezes flash a different kernel: Visionkernel or Genocide.

Also, If you want to sacrifice a bit of speed and really stabilize the system turn journaling on by flashing this ZIP (no need to wipe)

These are the two biggest benefits I have found, and I thought it may help someone skimming over the threads.

So its about time K0nane enlightened us all about the whole rumor and removal of signatures... pretty please?

I am no longer a member of ACS. An invitation was extended to rejoin after I was forced out and I declined.

Sorry K0nane, dont kick my ass, I just wanted people over this side of the river to know. It kind of sucks but it kind of doesnt. Hope you keep cooking :D.

I just switched from ACE to SRF last night because I wasn't getting great battery life, maybe 10 hours on full charge. So I took my phone off the charger this morning and I'm getting about the same battery life, probably 12 hours with very light use. When I was un-rooted I could get a full 24 hours on a charge. Anyone have any solutions? I love both ACE and SRF. Should I flash a new kernel? Or should I stop complaining about it and be happy with it? Also if I am to flash a new ROM how do I do that? Do I wipe data, cache and dalvik 3 times or just cache and dalvik 3 times?

Posting just to update my signature for you all. ;)

sprocket, charge to 100% and wipe battery stats in CWM. If you flash a new ROM, it's your choice whether to wipe or not, but it never hurts.

Love the new team name! Wish you the best of luck with it and hope you dont have to deal with crap again...

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am new to rooting and I was wondering what themes can I flash to SRF?

Go here and almost every theme in the first and second page is compatible. Read the first post though, just in case. MattedBlues and rEVOlution are pretty much my faves. b-reezy did a really good job on them.

If I go with rEVOlution does it matter which one I choose? Theres the AOSP lockscreen or the touchwiz lockscreen. And how do I flash that.Do I wipe cache and dalvik 3 times then flash?

Which lockscreen do you see when you press the power button? Swipe to the right to unlock (AOSP) or slide up to unlock (TW)? Depending on the one you have is the theme you would pick.

To flash a add on like a lock screen, normally you don't need to do a wipe since its not affecting/changing anything with the framework-res.apk/twframework-res.apk.

But its definitely not going to hurt so its good practice to continue doing so.
