[ROM][CM9][ICS][4.0.4] Cyanogenmod 9, Android ICS 4.0.4

I'll give it a shot. Also I can report, at least for me,with the new isdx p505 build, overclocking seems to be working much better on the thrive. with the smartassv2 governor 320min/768max i'm not experiencing any screen tearing or graphics glitches. :) Although CPU still spikes to 100% just by touching the screen. (normal?) Also, the lockscreen has some strange build information in the bottom of the screen.

Cpu going up to 100% is normal, the next isdx build will have other text at lockscreen ;)
Will get it's own thread also, this rim is still in havy development. Now there are too many things discussed here.

Will setup a changelog for thrive and phoenix too.

Pre installation isn't necessary if you don't want to. It's recommended, but not obligatory.

Ok this is what i did. i installed the cm9 6/28 i believe, the gapps ics, and the oldbbfix. It ran great but froze within ten minutes. i couldnt turn off and it did not respond so i removed the battery. 2 min later i tried to reboot. the lg screen popped up, the black screen, but instead of android popping up, a battery recharging showed up for about 19 second then going to a black screen. i removed the battery once more and tried to go into flash recovery but it came up with a different boot that did not respond to any input. Can someone give me any suggestions?

Do you mean clockwork mod? To reboot, you just need to reboot into recovery then select "reboot now". Things should boot correctly thereafter.

thats the thing. i cant boot into clockwork mod. when i try it comes up with 'fastboot mode started- udc_start()- suspended. i need help. basically i am holding a brick in my hand.

On xda you can find a thread how to repair it, somehow something got corrupt.
As long as you get the fastbootmessage there is no real problem. If you can't find it, I will write you an how-to.
It involves flashing the recovery.img using fastboot.exe, I had it too when I was porting cwm touch recovery.
Let me know if you found it and if you succeeded.
Goodluck!

Ah I remember that happened to my friends thrive and it ended up broken, as arjen said, you just need to re-flash the recovery image. Hope you can get it going again!

Hello!!! :)

I can help you if you want... :p

?What cellphone Do you have? ?LG Phoenix (P505) or LG Thrive (P506)? :D

Instructions:

Follow This ---> Guide... I used twice with my LG Phoenix (P505) + LG Optimus One (P500h)!!!
I personally would not use any recovery method that involves flashing a kdz file with the thrive. i bricked my phone once with kdz flasher and could only get it fixed by sending it to LG. if it is going to quickboot you can use fastboot tool in android dev kit to flash a Rom back in

Ditto. I believe the KDZ flasher is not meant for LG Thrive. It was a long week or two without my thrive back then.
