Ok I think I figured it out.downloaded my backup root and it says I dont have root access. Im assuming kernel switch did it?
I have seen where kernel switches have caused people to loose root.. Typically with OTB kernels... I could guess that it would not be out of the ordinary for this to happen with ComaVolt..
If you are still having issues with obtaining root you should be able to root by:
Downloading su+busybox.zip
put that on your sdcard.
Download: Odin File (CWM 2.5.x) - and flash that to your phone via Odin..
Boot into recovery and flash the su+busybox zip and that should restore your root.. Unfortunately there is only one version of busybox+su and it is append only.. so you have to switch versions of CWM to accomodate the install.
Keep in mind that you are now using an older (append) version of CWM..
