I would take that.

Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt using Tapatalk for your reading pleasure.

Don't know if Verizon is doing anything today but I'm getting rediculously good battery life and I haven't changed anything. Moderate usage 7 hours 15% drain

@Clintro... did you try Liquid Thunderbread... I'm doing an LTE battery test right now and have 80% battery life left after 8 hours... normal use by me at work with it sitting on my desk all day... I might not be browsing much, but normal email and also download the latest Angry Birds Rio. And I did a Wifi test a couple days ago and had over 75% battery life after 12 hours.

Just flashed to 4.9 from 4 and so far everything is cool. But I did notice one change that I really liked from before. When receiving a phone call on 4 you had to slide the ring to one side or the other to answer/decline. I just called my phone and it came up with the old push button screen. Any options to get the "ring" back?

I may have forgot to mention that I am using an extended battery too... I have never ever had a ROM eat that much battery life... Now I am on db stripped 2.1 But it won't send MMS, which I use everyday...

Figures.... nothing ever runs good for me... I really with SkyRaider Would make a ROM for the thunderbolt... that was my fav ROM when I had my Incredible :)

im having problems getting my text messages, people telling me they text me and i didnt get it then when i restarted my phone i got a ton of text messages anybody else having this problem?

I think the ring only comes up when you receive a phone call while the phone is locked. When it's unlocked you get the regular screen to answer or decline.

Yes, I have had that problem once at this point. It actually happened yesterday. I didn't get any text messages at all. Even with the battery pull, I never received them, but it did start receiving text messages after the battery pull. (I realized I wasn't receiving when a friend called me out about not responding to the messages.)

The only other problem that I have experienced is there are no voicemail notifications. I just checked and had 18 messages and no notification anywhere

Re: battery life on this rom

Battery issues with this rom exist, but in my experience they are really day to day - some days i get 9-14 hours on a charge depending on my use, other days it can run waay down in more like 5. It is kind of crazy, and i don't mean to suggest that it has nothing to do with the rom, but i still think it's got more to to do with 4g/thunderbolt radios/new tech.

I used gingeritis 3d for a couple days this week (thanks to sodev for the recommendation) and it was awesome - but it has basically the same battery life.

I'm not complaining, i just deal with the battery life as it is, and charge when i need to, and try to think ahead about what kind of juice i'll need later in the day if i won't be around a dock. But there are clearly battery life isssues with all roms, and this being one of the biggest and most feature flushed, will definitely drain your battery. BTW i use the stock regular battery (just one) and i've had it since the day tbolt came out.

Still i think it's fair to assume nearly all aosp roms will have somewhat better battery life than most sense roms.

I was wondering if anyone realized that the volume playback for video recording is too loud...I don't recall anyone posting about this.

I have also noticed this and wasn't crazy about how distorted the sound was do to this but I love this rom and decided to live with it for now and hope there is a fix coming.

if anyone could shed some light i'd appreciate it, i flashed this and even cleared everything twice and im getting no service whatsoever. i've tried rebooting and toggling the radio but im still getting no service.

also getting HTC DM force close and Sync Service force close.

I have the same issue. I can connect to wireless but no network.

If I go to settings -> about phone -> phone identity my Phone Number says "unknown"

what does this mean? I'm new to all of this, please explain. I did not update the software on the phone if that's what you're asking. I followed this guide:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...-backup-restore-install-roms-thunderbolt.html
and this:

are you saying I need to do this as well:

??

e: I tried installing the top radio listed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1045081
nothing seemed to change.

I don't know the solution to your problem, but I know the radio you linked to is not the MR2 radio, because the post was last updated in May (MR2 came out in July).

The latest radio I have seen (newer than MR2) is here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...radio-leak-gingerbread-ruu-thanks-chingy.html

I haven't tried it yet so I'm not guaranteeing a solution for you... just offering a suggestion. :)

This is the radio I was referring to
[RADIO] Official OTA MR2 Radio 1.39.00.0627r [7/8/2011] - xda-developers

Make sure you do a clean install - wipe everything - and install ROM in recovery mode.

Radios are installed in hboot.

The guide by cyber warrior should have all the info you need, and there's another thread about upgrading specifically to gb toms and radios bc of the confusion the radios present to some.

Also, you can try to reboot the phone a few times and see if you get mobile data or voice to work.
