Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed**

Okay, I asked raeyne from xda about the gyro issue and he said a possible fix might be to swap the userspace daemon from /system/bin/ami304d, I attached my stock one for anyone who wants to try (it's inside the zip), he said if this doesn't work then it must have something to do with the kernel module. (Of course make a backup of your current one in case this doesn't work)

I'm assuming we flash through CWM like the other fixes?

No do not try and flash this!
Download the zip extract it on your computer
Inside there will be a the file ami304d, copy this file to your phone
Put it into the /system/bin folder
Overwrite the old one (make a backup of it first if you want)
Reboot and test

If it works I'll make it a flashable zip

Oh well it was worth a shot...

Overall it seems to be just as good, i haven't tried any of the overclocking and such, but as for the interface and using apps and such it was quite nice. Like i said i did notice a few lags when writing txts, and i didn't check quadrant scores so i couldn't tell you anything in that aspect. you may have to try it out yourself. Follow my earlier post though and you shouldn't have any issues.

well so far its as fast, i have it overclocked at 806mhz and there is no problems

So what ROM is everyone going with I gave up on the cyanogen mod 7.1.0 keep getting the com.android.phone error ... if I linked my phone to google it died everytime so Im on to the sonygenmod but its kind quorky I have noticed. Just wonder if there is a better one that has been found or not. Also is there a way to get rid of the the sony branding on the startup. I hate it almost as much as I hated the AT&T one maybe more since im not using a Sony phone at all.

Absolute system root tools is what I used to change my boot animation. Its in the market and I believe its free. You can also use it to change your system font.

just a warning for everyone that might overclock their device, DO NOT go max on the scaling. your phone will repeatedly shut off and turn on, and is hard to get in and scale it down

As for which rom is good, I don't know why you guys are getting that one error I've never gotten any so I'm staying on cm7.1 unless I find something I like better that I wanna try.

Good deal thanks. (Just checked its actually 1.99 so I'm going to wait to see what ROM we all settle on before buying anything)

Anyone else having issues with getting there Bluetooth to connect. Mine pairs but it wont connect.

Sometimes I got that even with the stock ROM.
Also, that app works on whatever rom you have. Its not dependant on the rom. Just root.

Good job, everyone!

I'll sit back and wait for everyone to work out the kinks before I put this on my only phone, though.. Sounds like you're getting close.

Just flashed and CM7 running flawlessly. WiFi works. No bugs so far. Win!!!

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.03 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **WIFI FIXED

how about gyro? and going landscape?

Re: Joban's Kernel 2.03 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **WIFI FIXED

and guys i think 2.3.7 has the com.android.phone errors, but the old cm7 seemed fine
like this rom
[ROM][2.3.5][19 AUG] CyanogenMMatt v1.1 - xda-developers

I really don't understand what error you guys are talking about with the phone... I haven't gotten that error once and i've been using the phone application... Just weird.

As for gyro, that earlier post, i went about using different roms and copying that file from others and replacing it on my phone no luck so far, so i don't think its just that.

After testing around, gyro doesn't work. Only noticeable bug I've found. :)
