[ROM] [05.25.11] Das BAMF 1.7

Anyone know how I can get back the font from 1.6.2? I don't mind the new one, but it's kinda hard to see, and almost impossible outside.

I haven't noticed any font change on 1.6.3 from 1.6.2. Are you running the nte version or remix?

I flashed Remix v1.6.3 earlier today also. I'm on the fence about the font too. It's on the light side.

I have the 1.6.3 installed with the 4.4.7 kernel. So far, the battery life still sucks. Any kind of other flashes or downloads you all recommend to improve battery life? I have Juice Defender and SetCPU running currently.

I for one love it... Clean and minimalistic...
But, I have great eyes for reading and up close.

I can see that being hard to read for those who aren't as lucky as me with their close up sight.

Get rid of juice defender. It takes as much or more power than it saves or claims to save.
You don't need SetCPU.
Go in the BAMF toolkit, under CPU, set your min/max freequency, I use the ondemand governor, and check apply on boot, then press apply on boot.

I only use setCPU to see if it is ramping up/down.
This governor will ramp it down and up as needed, and adjust voltage accordingly.
Charge the battery full, boot into recovery and delete the battery stats. Charge full again (should take just a few minutes).

Do you happen to have the new radio as well? That killed my battery, big time.
I've played with the new LTE/new CDMA and a mixture of them all.
I'm back to stock LTE and CDMA. Better signal and better battery.

Not sure about the new radio. I guess I have it if it is included with 1.6.3. I will erase Juice Defender and disable setcpu.

I've found that I can't easily discern between bold and plain text with this font, which is awesome when looking through my inbox for new emails. I'm also wondering about changing the font back.

Any chance you can post up some pics to show what it looks like? I'm on 1.6.2, and i'm curious what this new font looks like.

Weird/maybe stupid question..

but if I use bamf and then I use a different launcher, say like launcher pro or windows 7 launcher will everything work the same? (as far as the kernal and things like that)

Yes, mostly. The things that launchers do will be different but everything else will be the same as it was - kernel and rom operation will not be affected.

I use adw ex.

Ok, here's a shot of my inbox, the first email is read, the rest are unread. Sorry for all of the blocks on it, that's my work inbox. It's easier to tell the difference on the computer, but in lower light or when outside it's impossible to tell.

Thanks for posting the pic. I'll have to flash the update and see how my eyes handle it.

Edit: If Gmail didn't highlight new emails by encasing them in a white highlighted box, i'd have no clue what was new or read email.

I know this might sound silly to some, but is there some patch or way to get the "ding" sound when raising/lowering the volume? Maybe I'm in the minority but I happened to like it. I'm running 1.6.2 Remix.

Thanks.
