Well my kernel is based on the stock LG kernel and well LG sucks! And in short francos kernel is geared for performance!

using CyanogenMod 7.1.0 / 6.5.8.. getting a black screen after phone goes into standby and unlocking screen
anyway... should i be using a diff build of the rom ?

What you are describing is probably the lock screen issue. Switch to a live wallpaper, see if it helps. There really is no tried and true fix for this though some ROM do better than others.

The ICS rom for LG p500 is released on xda-dev.. Please provide the kernel which can work with it.. as current kernel 2.08 does not work with the new ics rom . LG phoenix is not able to use that rom... All help is much appreciated and certainly donations will be made to make ur effort is continued..

You need to go back a page and read. Our phones haven't been updated. So no kernel exists to work with new baseband or. 35 kernel required Roms. Joban is TRYING to come up with something, so just sit back and pray.

Everyone go to http://forums.androidcentral.com/t-lg-phoenix-thrive/153524-get-lg-release-gingerbread-source.html and follow joban's instructions. If we can get LG to release the source code we could get ICS running on phoenix.

Got a problem, I installed cyanogenmod7 and fallowed the steps but my phone reaches the cyanogenmod7 logo with the swirling arrow and then it just stops spinning and I have no clue what to do now.

possible bad flash. make sure to factory reset, wipe cashe(s). re-flash, may try a diff rom. make sure you get one that is old baseband and for a .32 kernel. do be patient, first boot can take awhile.

UPDATE: First try, the phone booted the boot animation and shut down those small warning text! Something close to when u get the com.android.phone error when it restarts it self. IDK whats the wrong but need to do more work! And its hard because our kernel is 2.32.9 and francos is 2.3.14 (i think cuz i forgot =D but its differnet)

Sure it would work. But what is required to make it happen is WAY above anyone here.(I could be wrong)

Joban, I was using your kernel with 3 or 4 custom ROMs and 1 stock ROM from p500 - all I've got is a messed colours or "overheating.." or some other strange things. With Cyanogen mods everything is great! I just ask you to compile the kernel without extra stuff from Cyanogen (just straight from LG sources http://www.lg.com/global/support/opensource/opensource-detail.jsp)/ I wanna try it with international stock LG ROM. Can you do this favor? With great respect and many thanxx!!
