Re: Joban's Kernel 2.08 (Overclock, CM7 2.3.7 etc..) **Gyro Fixed
Hello fallsha, I was glad to hear that you got your phone to work with CM7. I too have a rooted LG Thrive P506 and would love to know how you did this.

Thanks and Congrats.
Ya, i had to use the cyanogen mod 7 mirror....
THIS IS WHAT "I" DID...
1)Bricked my phone by flashing the wrong rom (Cyanogen Mod 7 .35 Kernal) and did not create a backup

2) Downloaded android SDK (On computer)
Downloaded CWM3100-p506-recovery image(On computer)
3) Unbricked by going into USD mode (Power+Home+Down)
a)Plug usb in and connect to computer (It said port, portchange, etc.)
b) Went into command prompt, typed the commands to fastboot erase recovery, fastboot flash CWM recovery image and fastboot reboot... Unplugged phone when it reset, and went into CWM recovery.
(Power+Home+UP)(It worked)
c)Made backup of the current .35 Rom because it worked kinda*, but just enough to use it for important reasons- so it would re-brick itself; i had CWM recovery on it now.
4)SO i shut my phone off, took SD card out and put it in an adapter and plugged it in my computer...
5)Downloaded the Cyanogen Mod 7 *Mirror*(The guy that made the C.M.7 .32 Kernal blocked the hyperlink to it cuz he was unhappy)
6) Downloaded Joban's Kernal 2.08 Gyro Fixed
7)Copied files to the SD card in the same folder, safely* removed my sd.
8)Put sd card in phone (while its off), turned on phone and went into CWM recovery mode
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the main part
9.1 Wipe data/ Factory Reset
9.2 wipe cache parition
9.3 advanced>wipe dalvik cache and battery SD
9.4 Install from zip card> Document(The folder with the files that u put init)>flash the .zip file and then rebooted the phone to home screen to see if it worked, and it did, with color issues tho...
9.5 Rebooted phone to CWM Recovery, and...
Install from zip card> Document(The folder with the files that u put init)>flash Joban's Kernal 2.08
9.6 Rebooted phone, and Voila... It worked- Colors, Sound, power button w/ screen, wifi, youtube, etc.
And that's the 5-day process of how i figured it out...
But during this i bricked my phone multiple times so i had to do the USD, and command prompt trick a lot.
Works like a charm....
If you don't mind me asking, how'd you do it?
