[ROM] ApeX V1.4.1 for Droid X & Droid 2 - Refinement and Ease of Use (2/22/2011)

I restored the 3g mobile hotspot app and was able to create a wireless network and connect to it with my laptop but I was not able to get a connection to the internet. I didn't even get eh screen that says you have to pay for the service.

Any suggestions?

I rebooted and it works great now!

Awesome ROM btw!

Hi guys - I loaded Apex a couple weeks back and think its great. One application I want to start using with my is "Wireless Tether". However, it appears that the version included in Apex is outdated and a new version is available. Can I simply install the new version over the one included with Apex?

Is anyone else having trouble with corporate sync on 1.4.1 with the Droid 2? I have tried using the AOSP as well as the Blur, the results are the same as stock. After the screen times out push does not work until I open the app and manually refresh.
I have searched but have not found this issue, so any suggestions are welcome. This is the only problem I have with Apex after coming from Fission.

Is anyone else seeing the UID 1001 (Dialer) bug? The first time I place or receive a call (or even just open the dialer) after my phone boots up, UID 1001 has 100% sensor usage, and drains my battery faster than normal. Is there a fix for this? Thanks!

Hello. I just rooted and loaded my first ROM (Apex 1.4.1) and everything seems to be working great. I accidentally downloaded 1.3.1 yesterday and it had a few issues but 1.4.1 is smoother and more stable. Great work and look forward to tinkering with it more.

I did have one question with Rom Manager. If I change ROMS completely or go back to stock, do I have to select Wipe data and cache or can I always leave that unchecked so I don't have to re-add all accounts/settings?

P.S.
My social networking app does not seem to recognize that I have twitter/facebook logged in. It asks me to Add Account but I already have them on there.

Any chance the new Immersion MOTIV haptic feedback will be implemented in an Apex update? I've been itching to see what kind of life that will bring to the android platform..

I'm also having calendar issues...I have to manually sync to get the changes I make or when I add new appointments. I haven't seen any helps on this. Anyone have the same issue and get it fixed?

as far as your rom manager question goes, if you are updating to a newer version of a rom you are currently on (i.e. if a new version of apex comes out) you dont usually need to wipe. when flashing to a different rom, you should always wipe data/cache (and most roms will remind you of this in the installation instructions).

Anyone on Apex 1.4.1 having issues with the latest update to Google Voice not installing correctly from the Market? I get an error that the package is not signed correctly.

So happy with this rom! I liked Liberty, but I couldn't get it to play nice with my phone...kept getting random reboots and I would have to battery pull too often. Thanks for this, so awesome! :)

After a week, still love this ROM. However, I've noticed that since uploading 1.4.1, my wifi signal strength isn't stable. Didn't have this problem with 1.3.1.

I have a question about overclocking using jrummy app. I can't figure out why but going to anything over 1.1 brings the phone to a CRAWL. Anyone have an idea as to what I'm doing wrong? I'm using the presets given either in the app itself or from the toolbox both have same effect

Some people reported that some phones just don't like to overclock. I use a different oc app and can get 1.45 with no issues. Not sure if its app or phone issue.

I believe the ApeX rom is slightly overclocked to begin with.... I could be wrong. But with apex and jrummys overclock.... I could set it to 1.2-1.25ghz at low voltage without a problem... never really tried anything higher due to battery life. Every DroidX is different.... some can handle it while others cannot. What voltage are you using and do you have it set to..On demand or Performance?
