Clockwork flashable Froyo EB01 with root and busybox

I came from the semi-bloated dl30 that was released. only differences I've noticed other than more bloat is that long pressing the search button now works but the searches are routed through Bing now and eventhough there's a default search engine setting in the stock browser, it doesn't work.

I just flashed the debloated version. Before flashing, I flashed the eb01 modem, via odin and did all the steps provided, but my kernel is still 2.6.32.9. Shouldn't it be different than it was when i had dl30 flashed? the baseband and build are both eb01...

Phone seems very snappy, Hopefully the battery life is much better than it was with the leaked dl30, i was completely drained in 12 hours with VERY light use. So hopefully this is better. Everything seems fine, just curious about the kernel. Kernels are the aspect I understand the least. I believe I read that the kernel was included in this rom, so i was just curious why it didn't change.

I am stock EA28 I was going to use this sick day with my kid to jump to froyo dl30 using Cory's inst but much to my surprise I got a notification from androidcentral and when i opened it and read it I nearly drove off the road!!

So my question is do I still follow Cory's inst and jump to dl30 then do everything here in post #1? or do i just follow Cory's inst but insert the files in post #1 for the dl30 files?

It did change if you are refering to the section in the about phone area that will usually stay the same. even after you put custom kernels...when you flashed this rom during the flashing you should have seen crazy blue lettering , that was the kernel being changed

if you want to see kernel info try setCPU this app has a kernel section

And do the DL30 themes work on the EB01 rom (either stock or superclean)?

I am d/l the debloated version now. I'm going to flash it before work and then put it through the paces over the weekend. Hopefully the battery life will be better than DL30. I was getting maybe 12 hours with minimal usage. Here's hoping. And thanks to everyone for your hard work on this. So stoked!

Musta been a dumb question if I'm not gonna get an answer? I'm assuming that you can't, but I'd like to hear regardless. I'd really like to be able to get the accurate battery percentage in the notice bar - and like the ability to reload something if it turns out that I end up missing it. Thanks in advance, and I don't mean to be pushy, as I know you guys have your hands full spelling all this stuff out for dummies like me.

The Nuance_froyo worked for me. I also added SNS via Rom Manager/Son of Skywalker.

As for themes, I had heard that most if not all DL09 are NOT compatible.

This is confusing me. I used the Odin program to put the leaked Froyo on from Cory's post. Now I'm confused with what to do. I apologize for being a nuisance about this whole thing but I need steps laid out bc I'm new at all of this and I'm not familiar with some of the terms.

Can I go to this new upgrade from the dl30 leak? If so, what are the steps that get me there?

I'm on DL30. If i go into CWM RED, wipe cache, wipe to factory reset, then apply the debloat/deodex zip in CWM RED, should that work ok? Will I be rooted afterwards?
