Yup! Just root and dl bootstrapper. Then before anything boot into recovery with bootstrapper and make a backup. Then anytime you want stock just boot recovery again and flash the stock backup you made.

I'm coming from Liberty (which is killing my battery); not from 1.3.1. Any other way to download 1.4?

UPDATE: WORKING AGAIN!!

I really like this ROM, but I keep getting some weird process error force closes. The only way to fix it is to reboot. Anyone else having the same problem?

The last time it happened was when AppBrain was refreshing my installed apps.

So, is bootstrapper the same thing as Rom Manager? When I do a search for bootstrapper, that is what comes up.

Related but not the same. Bootstrap is required but rom manager is not. ROM manager just gives you the framework to make changes outside of using the bootstrap recovery screen.

I flashed back to Liberty. Apex kept losing my contacts, my messaging app was slow, and scrolling through contacts was choppy.

Im looking for swype but can't find it in the language/keyboard options... nor the toolbox. Can anyone help?

How do I do a nandroid backup of my factory dx before I start any of this process?

Root your phone. Dl bootstrapper from market. Open app click bootstrap recovery click ok. Then click reboot recovery. When it boots into recovery go to backups. Any questions while your doing it let us know.

Thanks guys for the help. I want to do it but just afraid to get started, because I don't want to mess up my dx. I will look for the videos and get more info.
