[ROM][GB][5.23.11]Das BAMF 2.0-5

So just to clarify... I am currently running BAMF 1.6.3 remix with the new RUU radio... Do I flash this ROM first and then update the radio after... I tried to apply the new GB radio in HBOOT but then I wasn't able to use CWM or even work it though HBOOT... Im quessing I need to remove the image from the root after is is installed? any help would be great thanks

ALSO... what do you guys think about this ROM compared to 1.6.3? just curious

I flashed the GB radio first, then used ClockworkMod to wipe data and clear both caches before loading the ROM. How are you trying to start ClockwordMod?

Not sure anything I say will help, but heres what I did.

1. Turned off phone, and booted into HBOOT
1a. Had my GB radio in the root directory of my SDcard named "PG05IMG"(Make sure you dont have anything else named "PG05IMG.ZIP"
2. When phone booted into HBOOT, it automatically looked for the radio & asked if I wanted to apply the update.
3. After radio was done installing, I rebooted and went back into rom manager, and went into recovery console.
4. Deleted my cache, data, davlik and what not.
5. Install zip from SD
6. Seleted my GB zip file from my SD card and sat back and watched it do its thing.

Oh yeah, back-up your data. I went back to 1.6.2

Edit: Jacksonville, FL? I use to live there as a kid, Ponte Vedra
Yeah I tried that, I think i know what the issue is... I am giong to place the 2.0 version directly on the root of my card... then I am going to Flash the new radio, then flash the new 2.0 beta...

I am really liking the 1.6.3remix and will prolly stay with it if there is alot of bugs with it... I just like to mess with radios and ROMs... I really knew my incredible inside and out, but with all this new radio stuff and becuase the TBOLT is so new, I am getting my feet wet... I am really looking foward for the next few months when some more stable ROM's come out... I would love to have skyRaider 2.0 for my Tbolt but thats impossible... thanks for the help though :)

seth i think you can place the gb radio on the root of your sd as pg05img, flash the gb rom in cwr, then go to hboot afterwards and flash the radio.

if you dont have the gb radio when you flash the rom, the rom should still work you just won't be able to get calls etc.

I just flashed the rom with new radio... Honestly not that impressed.. I like 1.6.3 better. To each there own I quess... BUT i am soo glad I am back in the ROM world... just looking forward to what the future hold for better roms, just like they evolved for the incredible... I really do like dasBAMF 1.6.3 remix though :) Just not impressed with some of the ported sense 3.0 elements... the main thing that turned me off is the rosie bar, i like the original one in 1.6.3

Have you tried CM7 alpha yet?

no i didnt try it yet bc of gps basically (needed it working). i downloaded it, tesla coil, as well as bamf 2, and i'll probably give them a shot this week.

bamf 163 is definitely awesome. ive been using it for almost 2 weeks straight with no changes practically.

Loading and trying different ROMs and kernels can be a real addiction. :p. DB 1.6.3 is a solid ROM and was my daily driver for a while. If you're switching back, you should check out the cf 2.0 kernel which let's you customize voltage settings.

So I probably should of known better, but after initially having some problems with the latest version and constant reboots, I then gave it another try because I wanted to see if I could get Netflix working. For some reason I didn't flash the original 2.0 version first, before I went straight to 2.0-4. So now all is well and I couldn't be more happier. Thanks again to the BAMF team and rmk40 over at XDA for the Netflix patch!

with regards to loading the new radio, whats the "root" of the SD, i already have a file with the same name there, could i just replace it with the new one and put it into hardboot and it will recognize it?

I noticed that my 4G speeds were underwhelming to say the least from the start of 2.0
I then worked my way up to different kernels, up until the latest Imoseyon 2.5.4test1 kernel. The results speak for themselves :)

Does anyone else have issue with the weather animations on this ROM? For some reason when I click on the icon and open the weather app, the animations are gone, and the screen is just black, but it does show the weather information in text still, and I have the animations on the forecast.

Not sure what caused this or how to fix it.

I noticed that today too, was working fine last night. Not sure if its a temporary thing like an interruption of service but that's what it seems like

What's everyone getting for idle current draw while the screen is off? Is it 34-40 mA like normal or higher?

Did you happen to flash the Netflix fix? That would certainly do it, it did it to me. There have been many other reports that the Netflix fix on the XDA page kills the weather animations. Oh well, I would rather have Netflix!!

Imoseyon has a new version of his Gingerbread kernel (v 2.5.4test4) available at the link below. According to the change log, it fixes an issue with overclocking and further tweaks the code to improve battery charging.

Just flashed that kernel. The changelog says it will allow the phone to fast charge to 95% then slow charge till full so that should be nice.

I am having a problem with this app though, Terminal Emulator. It force closes every time I open it. Anyone else having the same problem? I want to use it to change the kernel speeds. Here are the directions to use it (from the above linked thread):

speedtweak.sh
This script will allow you to "transform" your kernel into normal, extreme, 1.92, 1.92X and battsaver versions (ie. it allows you to control speed, voltage, and slots to a certain degree). Once you run the script, everything will be self-explanatory. To run the script:
1) Open Terminal Emulator (install it from market if you don't have it).
2) Type "su" (without quotes) and hit enter.
3) Type "speedtweak.sh" (without quotes) and hit enter.
leanKernel kernel speed tweaker
------------------------------_
1) normal: undervolted, overclocked to 1.41Ghz
2) extreme: extremely undervolted, overclocked to 1.41Ghz
3) 1.92: undervolted, overclocked to 1.92Ghz
4) 1.92X: extremely undervolted, overclocked to 1.92Ghz
5) battsaver: extremely undervolted, not overclocked

6) Unlock 184Mhz
7) Lock 184Mhz
8) View current settings

Try the terminal emulator that's in the das BAMF toolkit, and see if that works.
