[ROM][GB][5.23.11]Das BAMF 2.0-5

Yep, I've just been explaining to a bunch of people that they need to flash the radio in order to disable bricking, so I thought I'd put it out there. Also thought I'd clarify that either of the two LTE radios (as long as it wasn't the gingerbread version) would work.

Will it make a difference if I used the other radio than the one that I have now?

Check your download speeds while on 4G. If they're reasonably fast, then you're fine. The older LTE radio is mostly for people who run into problems with the newer version.

I wished we have 4G here in my area already. The reps said we're supposed to have it by the end of summer. We'll see.

Good luck, it's truly awesome. My computer's tethered to my phone right now, and the 4G connection is faster than my cable modem. On the plus side, you won't have to worry about your radio version for a while.

Has anyone had the issue of after the flash, getting no service?? I flashed the remix, did a radio update, and have no service... After going back to my old Rom im fine...

If you were able to return to your old ROM without flashing an older radio, it sounds like the alpha GB radio wasn't loaded on your phone. In any event, based on the reports of problems with the GB radio, you're better off sticking with a Froyo ROM for now.

If I flashed the GB radio but want to revert back to a froyo based ROM do I need to do anything new with the radios? Such as re add Froyo radio or somehow delete the GB radio?

The Gingerbread radio doesn't work with Froyo ROMs. If you want to go back to Froyo ROM, flash one of the Froyo radios in the original post of the Obligatory Radio thread in the rooting suforum. Flash the replacement radio using the same procedure you used to flash the GB radio you loaded.

This Rom is pretty and I like the Sense 3.0 stuff but is just a little to buggy for a daily driver. It doesn't play nice with a few of the apps I use a lot. I' was going back to 1.6 anyway. Look forward to the radios and gingerbread stuff getting fixed soon.

bthomp21, Keep in mind that Adrynalyne and Butch will not continue to work on this until a new radio is available. I hope a fix or something comes out soon because they could improve on it so much. Froyo is solid, but once you had a taste of GB and Sense 3.0 it's hard to go back.

is it all radios or just one and they dont know which?

It's the ALPHA Gingerbread 2.01.605.0 radios that are causing the bricks. There has been no other releases of GB radios other than this combination, and no one really knows what may be causing the endless bootloops. At least not yet
