I have to say that Gingerbread was nice. Had it running for almost a week on my phone, and liked the Sense 3.0 elements that were included.

Still, it's not worth losing my phone so back to 1.6.3 for now. May give 1.7 a try later tonight.

definitely not.

i might jump on tesla for a day or two to see what all the hype is about.

I tried Tesla Coil for a few days not too long ago. Really liked the AOSP-look launcher but it didn't run as smoothly as DB did on my phone. Plus, the ROM has
other little differences in how it looks and handles that didn't suit me. For example, when you open the app drawer it always went to the top of the list rather than returning to the last location you had scrolled to, which is what I prefer.

It's definitely worth a try if you're itching for a different look and feel.

I may be heading back to 1.7 soon, been on the 2.0 for some time now and it has been good. I just miss my Pandora and the switching of songs.

i like DB 2.0 too much to go back to anything lower.. As of right now my phone has given me minimal issues, only thing that i can complain about was that earlier i was not recieving texts but i think it was because 4G was down again

I tried it for a few days then switched back. It was quick; just not my style. My phone shut down three times unexpectedly, and twice the bottom icon bar changed to being all "+" signs expecting me to press on each and choose a function for each. Phbbbt.

Since I updated to the new version, I am unable to find my photo gallery. I looked every does anyone know where it is or how to get it back? Thanks.

i forgot to install the radio file and flashed without it now my bolts a brick. how can i fix?

Put the radio file on your SD card and load through hboot. It doesn't matter whether you load the radio file before or after you load the ROM. I assume you've read through the thread and understand the risks of running the ROMs based on the leaked Gingerbread code, which include possible permanent bricking of your phone.

i still cant believe people are risking bricking there phone, people have no patience lol i'm gonna wait till there new radios and its out of beta before i jump on

wheres the hboot?

My advice is that you load one of the many Froyo ROMs (such as das BAMF 1.6.3). If you haven't taken the time to understand the risks of loading a Gingerbread-based ROM or understand the process of loading a new radio file through hboot, it's time to turn back.

i did download 1.6.3 and i used it for a while. this is the first time i tried a beta. how do i load a file through hboot

you sound like a "beginner" and right now these gingerbread Radios (required with gingerbread ROM) are hard bricking (unfixable) many phones due to the alpha nature of these radios for the Thunderbolt, i agree you should go back to a froyo ROM before you kill your phone

If you're still using das BAMF 1.6.3, press the power button, select restart, and select bootloader to enter hboot. If not, turn off your phone and hold the power and volume down button at the same time until you enter hboot. There are instructions earlier in this thread on how to use hboot to load a radio file.

A number of people running Gingerbread-based ROMs have gotten their phones permanently bricked so be aware of that before you run any GB ROM on your phone. We're trying to help by discouraging you. If your phone gets bricked, we won't be able to do anything to help you.
