Clockwork flashable Froyo EB01 with root and busybox

I know what you mean. I lost NFS paid version too. The other thing I wish I could get back is the widget called daily briefing. It was nice having news, weather, and stock info all in one place. :(

Here it is folks, in its bloated, ugly, and nasty touchwiz self. Kernel is included in the package. Rooted and busybox, only.

How to install, coming from Eclair:

1. Boot phone to download mode, and flash modem via Odin. Use pda button.
eb01modem.tar

2. Boot to clockwork recovery, and wipe data/factory reset. Then install rom.
eb01_stock.zip

Debloated, deodexed:
stock_deodex_debloat.zip

3. Before rebooting, also install the new clockwork package.
[RECOVERY] Updated ClockworkMod for all (non-voodoo) ROMs - xda-developers
4. Boot up and enjoy...or hate. Your mileage may vary!

Thanks:
All the folks who helped check for watermarks...y'all know who ye are.
The leaker, who we ended up serving for dinner with a nice bisque. We named it Leaker Bisque. Patent pending.

Thanks Adrynalyne! Had Cory's (Thanks Cory!) DL30 for one day which was a dramatic improvement from DL09. Used your modem and debloated EB01 over the DL30 loading. My Fascinate is now an amazing piece of equipment. Smooth, fast, my POP3 email flies in and opens fast, screen movement is snappy, Google stuff is where it should be, lagging seems to be taken care of. To all of you who loaded DL30, go to EB01 and you won't be sorry you did. I can't judge if battery life is better or worse cause I'm fooling around with the thing too much. The phone is now what it should have been when Samsung first put it out.

Am I the only person with the bloated version who is seeing an outdated market? I really likes the new one.

I was just wondering if anybody else is running the stock with debloat and deodex is having issues with themes running properly

What's the difference between the deodexed/debloated and the SuperClean roms? I assume the SuperClean is both deodexed and both debloated. Is it a custom kernal and more stuff removed? Can I flash to the deodexed asnd then CWM the SuperClean 2.2 right over it and then apply any patches over that?

Thank Yo

superclean is the debloated/deodexed with a custom kernel and other deeper customizations. If you want sc 2.2, I wouldn't bother flashing the deodexed and just go straight to flashing 2.2 and what patches you want

EDIT - All of these EB01's are courtesy of Adrynalyne. If you want to think of it this way, they all came in stages. First he gave us the stock EB01, then he debloated/deodexed the stock one to give us that one, then he used his own custom kernel and did further customization to give us superclean. So they are all the same thing in a sense, just in different stages. Make sure to thank the heck out of him whenever you have a chance.

I'm seeing an outdated market as well.
DroidXcon provided a solution in another thread. Try this:

do this
settings>applications>manage applications>market>clear data/cache and uninstall updates if available, then restart the market a couple times

Easier method. Download something you use, let it install, exit market with back button open market, viola nnew market.

HELLZ to the yes. can't get any themes working with debloated deodexed. Force close issues.

So what you're saying is flash the stock boated EB01 and then CWM the SuperClean 2.2 over it?

Ohh and a BIG BIG BIG Thanks to Adrynalyne for doing all this AWESOME work.

If the themes aren't compatible, you will have issues. Don't install Dl30 themes on EB01. You have been warned!

I used the same method I always do to deodex and zipalign. Its the same method I have used for superclean as well.

Thanks Landshark.

As said:

Original is for those who want it all, and/or like to DIY roms. NOTHING is missing, so that all choices are present from the get-go.

The Deodex is for the folks who want to install themes and mods, and don't want the bloat.

The superclean is for those who rather someone else go through the work of setting things up nicely, and eradicating as much touchwiz as possible.

No, I'm saying if you want 2.2, just go straight to downloading 2.2. If you want a super easy method where someone else has done all the work check out DroidXcon's thread here:

http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...roms-w-root-new-clockwork-updated-2-12-a.html

Or you can follow the methods in the first post of this thread, but instead of using the stock or debloated/deodexed EB01, just use superclean 2.2. If you want I can walk you through it step by step, it will just help to know what version you are currently running and what you do and do not have on your phone right now. Help is just a question away, so fire when ready

guess i'm not the only one not having issues with getting themes to run on the debloat/deodex version.
just to make sure, did you see the post by Adrynalyne above about using DL30 themes on EB01? There is a hack fix for them in the themes thread, but I haven't used it because I'm playing it safe and making sure I only use EB01 themes and haven't had any problems. If you are using an EB01 theme and are having problems, sorry one of the more experienced people will have to help you. I'm just trying to help with whatever I can to take some of the load off of them.

Worked perfectly! Thanks again!
New question: has anyone else been noticing that the battery icon isn't really showing the correct battery life? I have a widget that I've uses since I got the phone which used to match the battery. Now they don't match up at all. The widget shows 70% and the battery shows a full blue battery at the top. Just wondering of anyone has seen this also.

Yes, mine was the same way when I first went to EB01, and others noticed the same thing. I am running a theme (touch of blue right now, but will probably switch) that has an accurate battery mod in it. It is a circular battery meter with the current battery percentage in the middle. Some of the EB01 compatible themes have different accurate battery mods. You can check them out in the theme thread. I believe there is also a link in the theme thread where you can download just battery mods
